Just finished season one of "Better call Saul". What a great show and man do I feel bad for the main character at the end of the season. His brother was a piece of work.

We did not watch Breaking Bad, so we were coming into this without any knowledge of what was going on prior to. We dug it and are now DVR'ing season two!

That's pretty amazing, I was wondering about the opinion of someone who didn't watch BB. Sounds like it's solid either way.

I binged on Fear the Walking Dead yesterday. I was kind of dissappointed that it was only six episodes, but what a great show.

I'm currently binging on Better Call Saul. It started off pretty slow, but it's finally starting to pick up (I'm on episode 5).

Next up to binge are Wolf Hall and Mercy Street (my gf and I recently cut the cord, so we have been binging pretty hard the past two weeks).

Just finished Dead Like Me. Now I'm left with the same feeling I had after Freaks and Geeks, and Firefly. Another great show ended before its time.

I really liked both of those shows.

A show that we loved and yes, they ended it to early.

Agreed and did you see Better Call Saul season two premiere last night?

We have not, we finished the season and then decided to start DVR'ing it. As soon as we have a few episodes in we will watch it. But yup we are hooked!

We tried BB, but could not get into it. We are going to give it another go around though. But that show is a commitment with it being some five seasons.

But Saul season one is good.

Based on a few recs from friends and coworkers, I started binging Outlander this past weekend. I'm about 11 eps in, and it's pretty damned good. I love historical stuff (this takes place mostly in the 1740's), so it's definitely my kind of show!

Aaron Sorkin's The News Room. It has the standard Sorkinisms that some might find grating, but as a fan of his, I tend to enjoy them… except for the romantic subplots that steal story time.

The plot is a combination of a couple of Sorkin's other series, like The West Wing and Studio 60. In a commentary on the latter, the fact that the pilot was a huge tribute to Network (1976) was mentioned. The News Room goes beyond tribute and steals a lot from The Network, and its characters are just remixes of Studio 60 characters. One of them even has the same name and portraying actor, so I'm wondering if theres a sort of Sorkinverse encapsulating these two shows.

Just polished off the four seasons of Longmire (currently on Netflix), and I'm now jonesing badly for season 5. It's different than Craig Johnson's novels in that the title character is necessarily third-person, not first person as in the books. But Robert Taylor is perfect in the role (you'd never know he's an Aussie), Kaytee Sackhoff is fantastic as Vic, and Lou Diamond Phillips is the ultimate Henry Standing Bear.

Speaking of binging, at least once a year I watch my entire Babylon 5 box set. Maybe 5 episodes a night.

And I still cry during "Sleeping in the Light."

I hear you my friend. Very depressing ending

No. It's not that it's a depressing ending. It's that it is an absolutely perfect ending. A larger-than-life, not to say mythic, character deserves an apotheosis. Sheridan has passed beyond the Rim, leaving behind an empty ship and a grieving widow who still rises early every day to watch the sunrise. Chris Franke wrote music behind it that rips our hearts out. A perfect ending to a great saga. This is what episodic shows like the various Star Treks could never deliver.

Daredevil S2.

@rhett7660 have you started yet? It's totally amazing and blew me away 100% - and as you know I absolutely loved the S1. 5 episdodes in and it's hands down even way better than the first season (!). They nailed the Punisher just pefectly. Wish they'd make a Punisher "mini" series now - would be the pinnacle of comic adaptions.

It's more grizly than the first season though so be prepared. Watched the five episodes twice so far. :D

One Batch, Two Batch. Penny and Dime.

Slowly making my way through House of Cards season 4 with my brother. Having to wait for him means seeing only an episode or two every other day.

Destroyed the first season of Daredevil over the weekend. Wanted to see it again before going into season 2 which I'm doing now. Currently on episode 4.

We have not. We just started season 5 of GOT.... Way to many good shows hitting right now! This one is next on the list for us though!

Watching Connections with James Burke, from 1978. The tech is old but the series is still interesting.

I re-added HBO to my satellite package over the weekend so I can get ready for Game of Thrones coming back on next month. I plan on re-watching at least part of season 5 before then.

In the mean time, I'm also finishing The Sopranos; I left off in season 4.

Absolutely nailed Punisher and Elektra. Élodie Yung's Elektra makes Jennifer Garner's Elektra look like child's play. But I guess that wasn't that hard to do. Don't need to say much about Jon Bernthal as The Punisher. Those who haven't started watching will see for themselves.

I just binged House of cards, the US version, from episode 1 all the way up to date.

Gotham.

The plotting is so byzantine that I feel if I weren't watching it in a straight line, I'd have trouble keeping track of who is betraying who.

It's nice that the producers obviously know the legend so well and respect it. They've taken a few liberties (I didn't expect to see Victor Zsazs until Bruce Wayne was an adult), but nothing egregious so far.
