I started reading the first book in The Expanse series, Leviathan Wakes about a week ago. I had no idea it was just turned into TV series on SyFy so bought a season pass and am playing catch up. So far, reasonably close to the book and is pretty damn good. Also starting on the first season of Humans and Jessica Jones.

I keep forgetting that I was given a DVD of Mr. Robot right before I began my run-up to the crush of holiday preparations, and I need to resume watching it! I know other members here have commented on its weirdnesses and fun as well. I've only watched a handful of episodes so far but I like the casting, where do they find these people?!

Just finished the most recent season of Homeland and have now started Jessica Jones on Netflix. I'll tell you what though, the most fun new show my wife and I have started watching is a 30 minute show on Esquire Network called "Going Deep with David Rees". It's this neat little education/sarcasm show that is quite funny and entertaining. Not sure if it's available on any streaming service so we DVR the episodes and watch them at our leisure.

I just finished Royal Oaks and Transparent on Amazon, and have moved on to Black Mirror and Jessica Jones on Netflix.

Started watching Dexter about a week ago and I'm hooked. Currently watched the first two seasons and loving it so far.
Also waiting for season 6 of Game of Thrones.

My wife and I have started watching a new 30 minute sitcom called "Teachers" on TV Land. I have to say it's very clever and funny. The show follows a group of female teachers at an elementary school. It's well written and the actors do a great job.

I just finished binge-watching Nadia: Secret of Blue Water and The Rose of Versailles anime series on DVD. Not easy to do when you have to watch four episodes per day--and both are long series.

"Black Sails" - I have been doing a marathon run on the show to catch-up on it, so far wonderfully acted and written. I have to say this is now becoming my favorite show. "Shameless" was that, but it's still good and I have to laugh one of the lead actors Zach McGowan (Character Charles Vance) had a small roll in "Shameless".

JUst signed up for Amazon Prime again so catching up on some shows that are on there but weren't on Netflix.

Currently, Falling Skies. Pretty good show. Love the fact that they actually show the aliens right from the beginning. Started watching on Friday and alreasy into season 2.

For fun, I've been running Californication in the background, just finished up S1 and a couple of EPs into S2, and it reminded how great the series was before those last two/three (seriously, if you watch it, just consider the last EP of season 4 the series finale). It's also a little trippy watching it with the new X-Files season ...

I watched the first couple of episodes of season 1 last year and liked it, but I never kept up with it. I should 'reboot' ;) my viewing of it.

Yeah, it's really fun, but holy smokes, after S4 is gets a little shaky and the last season is just terrible.

Overall, the series gets a B+ because of the heapings of good will it generated in S1-4, but wow, yikes, the final season is really just a train wreck.

Thanks for the tip. I'll be weary of that when I get back watching it, hopefully soon.

SOA season 1 was OK, but season 2 is better in my opinion. Jax is kind of the opposite of Dexter, by that I mean he tries to do the right thing but ends up doing the wrong thing because of circumstances out of his control. He wants to go legit but there's always something that foils the plan. It's more about loyalty to the club and it's members. I liked it.

It's worth sticking around through at least the second season, but my personal opinion, the ending doesn't live up to the promise shown at the beginning. And that last season?

...it's particularly bad, since Jax goes from being a good guy forced to do bad things for good reason, to a straight up villain, so burnt out by everything he's experienced that he just doesn't care what he does, or who he hurts anymore. The writers don't make even the barest attempt to maintain any sympathy for him, and it makes for some surprisingly unbearable TV.

Downloading the rest of the final season of Downton Abbey, now that iTunes has put up the remaining episodes. I’ll be Britspeaking by the end of this evening... ;)

We have two episodes of Luther left to watch. It's an interesting show, very British and I like the mix of gritty and somewhat quirky characters. It's probably not the happiest show that we've been watching lately...

I've been binging on Glee since before Xmas.

As far as Downton goes, I thought that Series 6 was better than either Series 4 or 5, but was disappointed overall. I was especially disappointed by the final episode.
