well one could always read some mick herron books in the meantime …They have don’t the same end sizzle reel next season of Slow Horses for I think the last 2 seasons I think, definitely end of last season, so it’s nothing new, they won’t air the show till next year.
have you watched the new Perry Mason show on HBO/MAX with Matthew Rhys?
Interesting, I recall the old one with Andy Griffith. Kathy Bates is a terrific actor so maybe I'll give it try.The new Matlock with Kathy Bates. Well worth a watch.
Good Omens
Finished re-visiting Season 1
Started Season 2
Did you like the English version?I binge watched The Office - Australian version. What a disaster. Definitely mimicking the American office, just none of the charm or likability of any of the characters. Poorly written and few funny jokes in the entire season. I ended up watching the whole thing just to see how bad it would get, it does not disappoint in that regard.
I did like the British one, and loved the American one, at least till Steve Carrell left the show. It was still funny after he left, but he was the glue that held it all together perfectly in my opinion. Like the UK version, it would not have worked without Gervais.Did you like the English version?

I looked up The Games, not sure what came out first but there is a British version that I love called 2012 that was about the organization of the Olympic Games. Also a spinoff called W1A that takes place with the main character from 2012 now working at the BBC. Both supremely funny. Nothing against Australia, but I generally don't find their sense of humour all that funny... now New Zealand is a different story with Flight of the Conchords and What we do in the Shadows. I have only seen the original one, not the newer seasons with different characters. You might want to try Fisk, or, from 2000, The Games.
Derivative shows (i.e. when they try to port a show to a different country) never do well, such as when the Australian Kath and Kim was ported to the US. Go for the original.

Apple TV+
After 6 years I cancelled Netflix last month. I found it getting more and more difficult to find something that appealed to me.
