it's like Downton Abbey, but in shop mode, ok, a bit less good at points. I also have it play on the side when working, so there a few episodes I have mostly listened to instead of watching.

I enjoy Piven in general.
The first season was definitely interesting, but season two was better in terms of directing & output footage. First season had a failed, in my estimation, attempt at creating an era like feel with fuzzing out & grading the footage. It reminded me of the very first episode of House MD. Still enjoyable to watch though, and made me wiki Mr Selfridge
I should have worded that question in a different way. I've seen Selfridge. Apart from his other minor roles, it's the only show of Piven's I've watched. I'm a fan of the BBC dramas and quite like Downton Abbey. What I meant to ask was if you enjoyed the show because I had seen and have never been able to convince others to see it. Boardwalk Empire was most excellent as well. Through Starz, Black Sails is dangerously good, too.

He has a decently sized role in Entourage where he is quite good.

I'm aware of that show, but I've never really watched it. I've heard comparisons, in a matter of speaking, but never sought out the show based on the few reviews I read. Isn't my type of show.

I mostly enjoy it, I like costume dramas as there quite's a lot of work that goes into creating the epoque feel. Set, clothes, props, mannerisms, current (historic) affairs, conversation to mention a few.

I concur on the Boardwalk Empire sentiment, not on the Black Sails one tho. Got distracted and bored 3 episodes in. Never seen, or heard of Starz, will check what it is about.

Emmy+Golden Globe winner and multiple emmy noms if my memory serves me right for Entourage

@Zenithal should def give it a go

Starz is the company that developed Black Sails. They're like HBO or Cinemax.

Watched Luther's S1 - but way too over the top for me. Got into it because of Idris and by are recommendation of friend after I was praising the Wire. So coming from The Wire watching Luther was kind of a big bummer, lol.

Waiting for Luke Cage to arrive this Friday! Yay!

If anyone is still interested, all seasons of Dexter are now $9.99 each season. I'm buying all of them and will be binge watching them this week. I was waiting for a sale and here it is.

Wow I did not know about Luther and will certainly be checking it out asap. I just finished binge watching Suits seasons 3 - 6 because I stopped watching after season 2 for a while, and I will either continue House of Cards or watch a new show like Luther.

I am still waiting on my favorite superhero shows to come back, specifically Arrow, Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow, and I'm definitely excited for Luke Cage like @twietee is.

Started to watch "Beauty and the Beast"... not my cup of tea.
Finished "The Last Kingdom" and "The Tomorrow People". Liked both.

I just finished watching Stranger Things on Netflix. I'm not really a big sci-fi fan, but I really enjoyed this series. Can't wait for the next season!

I also just finished watching Inside Man (series of short documentaries with Morgan Spurlock). This was also a fun and interesting series.

Dexter is my favorite show. It's on Netflix for $9.99 a month and you can binge watch all 8 seasons plus many more great shows.
I have Netflix but as you know, shows come and go all the time on there. I like to be able to watch any show I want at any time. I frequently watch a complete series 5+ times a year.

I did the same thing with 24 just before it was taken off of Netflix.

I know what you mean. I hope they don't take Dexter off Netflix, I watch that to go to sleep to... Lol
