I think we may be starting on "The Darkness". Another Scandi-noir from Iceland. If you haven't seen "Trapped", find it, download it, watch it.
Interestingly, it appears that Jimi Perez, from "Shetland", having found things too hot for him in Lerwick, has moved to cooler climes, i.e. Reykjavík .
Or I may have completely misunderstood something...

What?

They aren't going to make anymore?
Not from the rumors what I posted here earlier:
While we wait for s.4…some rumors says that Pedro Pascall will not play the Mandalorian, but will dub the voice it seems - https://saberspro.com/blogs/star-wars-sabers/pedro-pascal-will-not-appear-in-the-mandalorian-season-4#:~:text=Due to scheduling conflicts with, after the filming is done.
Some news declines it - We'll see.

The movie, The Mandalorian and Grogu will come 2026 however.
Or from rumors, such as:

But who knows - Grogu haven't spoken yet 😉

I can't get these YouTube links to work. They seem to be dead links. I'm on TapaTalk, so that might be it. No clue.
Sorry, I don't know what TapaTalk is - the web is big and I am no Oracle. You have to search for yourself t-en ☺️

Finished Wolf Hall yesterday - been rationing my watching by seeing it when broadcast.

Stunningly good IMHO.
Couldn't agree more.

Brilliant TV series based on superlative books by the late, great Hilary Mantel.
Highly, highly recommended if you can get access to the BBC.
Have you been watching The Mirror and the Light (in other words, Wolf Hall season two)?

Haunting, gripping; and absolutely brilliant - superb acting, script, lighting, costumes, and production values.

Two thirds of the way through Mirror and the Light. Will finish soon.
Tried the above mentioned The Darkness. Gave it half an hour. Too dreary. Gave up.

Yes, I had rewatched the first just before season two (Mirror and the Light) launched. Made the first episode of the second series a bit jarring as they all aged a lot in the interim and a couple of actors changed.

One of the interesting things about the first series was that with the new Sony (i think) low light sensor cameras they were able to light and film with candles. The first time it was done. I think one scene was lit with a single camera!

I’d also add that in my opinion it’s a superb rendition of Mantel’s Cromwell, my suspicion is that the ‘real’ one was more of a street thug but who knows.

Also her idea of the French ambassadors price was well done and convincing to my mind.

After cancelling Netflix a couple of months ago after being a subscriber for six years, I may have to go back as I just learned that the second series of Squid Game is coming.

My wife and I have been watching the 12-episode Korean show, "When The Phone Rings." But in reality watching Netflix hasn't been that great lately. There are a couple of Japanese animé shows I have been watching, but only one episode per week are aired.

On what service is Halt and Catch Fire playing? It was on regular TV here in Finland last year but I realized too late and only caught a few episodes. I had never heard about it before but really enjoyed it.

Season 2 is much better than the first. Still, it's not great. Some really good stuff, some bad. It's too long. 6 episodes would have been enough to cut the boring stuff out. Maybe they'll get it right with season 3.

Started Secret Level and after a few episodes, I couldn't continue. It's just bad. Then started What If? season 3. After the first episode, I just couldn't continue watching. Season 2 was already bad, but this seems to be worse.

I have now started Tracker, which seems good so far (3 episodes in). Have Squid Game season 2, From season 3 and Silo season 2 on my list for the first half of January.

On what service is Halt and Catch Fire playing?
Don't know. Everything I watch is automatically stored locally and remotely for potentially rewatching it later. So I watched the original version from back when it aired.

Just finished the 3rd (and final season) of the Marvel animated series What If…

Overall a major disappointment. Except for the 4th episode (Howard the Duck episode) it just didn’t have the any of amusing creativity exhibited in the previous 2 seasons. Much more just turning the crank and spitting out the same Marvel superhero big fight sequence with different costumes.

We watch the Scottish Isle on YouTube. In the most recent episode Katie references a ring of stones used in Outlander to transport Claire back to 1743.

So now, we have started Outlander. Not too sure if we will make it through all seven seasons, though.

Wrapped up Lasso.

I'd been giving season 3 a lot of stick but upon further review it was really good.

That whole series was really well written.

A Discovery Of Witches - Netflix - I just stumbled on this series by accident and love it. It's been out there a while and only 3 seasons and is already over. It's a very interesting story about a vampire and a witch that fall for each other!!!

Loved it, and it is based on a real book which is really missing from the Bodleian Library.

On a completely unrelated side note, both Matthew from Discovery and Doctor Who treated Queen Elizabeth's toothache when visiting Elizabethan England.
