Much greener pastures
Just got up to date on Designated Survivor. Typical network thriller but actually pretty good!
I just saw the season finale. Nicely done. They concluded much of this year's storyline, which I appreciated. And I like the fact that instead of the usual super-intense cliffhanger you typically get with shows like this, we got a setup for next season which left you feeling worried and uneasy.

Sounds like we won't be seeing much more of Rep. Hookstratten, though.

Been binge watching Dragon Ball stuff since February. I initially watched Dragon Ball Super English Dubbed, but wanted more, so I watched Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods and Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection "F" to boost me ahead by two story arcs in Super. I then binge watched about 60 episodes of the English Subtitled in a couple weeks to the point of being caught up with them as they come out. Since I caught up, I then binge watched all the episodes I never watched of the Dub, since they differ slightly between the movies and the show. Finally, since I'm completely caught up on both the Dub and the Sub of super, Ive begun to go back and watch Dragon Ball Z, which came before Super. Since the original version of Z has over 200 episodes with much being excess filler content, I decided to watch Dragon Ball Z Kai instead since that is a refined and newer version of Z with less filler. So now I'm 50 episodes in and am continuing to blow through the episodes.

Prior to falling in love with Dragon Ball, I binge watched the first 2 and only seasons Rick and Morty in 24hrs. I LOVE RICK AND MORTY! It's an absolutely hilarious show and I can't wait for Season 3 Episode 2 to come out later in the summer.

The Wire, The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad, Mozart in the Jungle, Vikings, The Americans. Those shows never get old. Just started Justified.

Last week I watched all 5 seasons of "Breaking Bad" online non-stop (except to sleep).
Amazing the different things you notice or missed the first time round.

Oh yeah! Lot's of funny dialog malapropisms in that show and The Sopranos. I love that.

My wife and I just started the second season of Better Call Saul.

Haven't seen that yet, but I hear that it's really good.

Working thru seasons of Star Trek the Next Generation for probably the 5th time over the last 25 years.

Twin Peaks

was pretty sceptical at first because the "original" is my fav show ever so that is one hell of a risk to **** up something very precious - but whoa! am I pleased so far. :)

Been seeing a lot of headlines regarding that one. Havent seen the old series(yet), and was wondering if there's any other series you can compare it to?

Cheers

No, not really - but I'm not watching THAT many shows either. Lynch is one of a kind and so is Twin Peaks. Haven't seen Fargo but heard it being compared to it quite some times - although I doubt that because Twin Peaks is such a perfect blend of really different genres (think Beverly Hills 902010 meets X-Files meets Blue Velvet meets Dallas).

Have fun watching it! Still watching the old one every year or so and think it held up incredibly well.

Just started Justified.

Justified is fantastic, especially if you like dense, playful use of language - the show is based on an Elmore Leonard work (Fire in the Hole), and he's a writer that Q. Tarantino cites as a major influence (in fact, QT's Jackie Brown is based directly on the Leonard novel, Rum Punch).

Plus ... Walton Goggins!

Rewatching Two and a Half Men, again. Recently learned that Last Man Standing has been cancelled. Incredibly disappointing. I loved that show. Though going by reports online, I'd like to know how this was remotely a conservative show. It blows, but it's not surprising for any network to axe a well received show after multiple seasons have transpired.

I have some sources who stated that ABC wasn't willing to pay more on a contract renegotiation and they decided to stop airing it. Tim Allen has never been quiet about being a conservative. People get greedy, shows get cut. I am, however, thankful Dr. Ken was cut. God awful show.

the stink here in the USA, no idea where you're located, was because it was a "conservative" show. at least that is how the conservative media told the story.

I just stumbled onto a tv series called Angie Tribeca. This series is hilarious and reminds me of an old tv series called Police Squad.
