Daredevil............netflix

Me too! I really enjoy the gritty nature.

I loved the premiere. I'm honestly convinced Marvel can do no wrong since the Disney buyout. The studio just has so much more direction.

We're 4 or 5 episodes into Daredevil and I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm kinda nervous about what they are going to do with his suit. For me, when it comes to superheroes in TV or film, the suit can really be "make or break". It seems like some suits translate well from the comic page to the screen, but at other times it really just comes off badly. I hope they "get it right" even though I don't really know what that would look like. I just hope it's not cheesy or over the top.

As far as Marvel Studio, I like what they are doing so far. I'm still not sold on Antman so we'll see how that goes. What they did with Guardians of the Galaxy gives me some hope.

Holy cow, I just finished the episode where King Pen takes out his frustration on the Russian!:eek::eek::eek:

Yep, when I collected the comic book back in the 80's and 90's the Kinpin had a well documented problem with rage. I like Vincent D'Onofrio in the role. In truth, I think they are doing a good job with all of the characters. Glancing over the episode titles I see we will be seeing Stick soon. It will be fun to see how they handle his character.

I just finished and [spoilers]................................ his suit....... well let's just say it's nothing more than a dark red version of the pajamas he's currently wearing. You will be very disappointed. :p

Same here. We were kind of thinking about watching the last few EPs from the previous season to get ramped back up. Hahaha, I can't remember who's doing what where to whom[?]

Wait, I remember ... lots of people are being horrible killed and/or having lots of sex ... ! Welcome back Game of Thrones :D

Welcome back Game of Thrones in the UK this evening. A whole 24 hours later than it premiered in the rest of the world :(.

Whilst waiting for game of thrones I've been binging on Walking Dead. Excellent show. But very epic. Never seems to finish. Started on season 1 around 2 months ago. Still haven't finished season 4 yet lol

Homeland Season 3.

We were breezing through S2 and now desperately trying to artificially slow it down a bit to keep the tension going as long as possible. Doesn't really work that well tho :D

Great actors and actressess, awesome series!

About to start on Daredevil.

I'm curious about that one too. Still have a bad feeling in my mouth because of that soapish Arrow show though - coouldn't get past 2-3 episodes. Always loved Daredevil as a kiddo!

Daredevil on Netflix is nothing like the teen audience focused shows on the WB. It's definitely adult themed with a dark and raw feeling reminiscent of Frank Miller's work with the character from the early 80's.

Thanks, that sealed the deal! :D

Although I lost my respect for Miller quite some time ago. What a nutter!
Heard good things about his DD run. And Year One, I would read that again as well.

Bates is really outstanding, and kind of flying under the radar a little (I'd suspect somewhat from being on A&E).

Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore are _fantastic_, just genius casting and performances from the actors. We're watching in real time, and things are getting _seriously_ crazy :D

I just finished re watching Breaking Bad and now I'm doing Friends for the zillionth time, but the first time in 1080p! Only thing is I'm used to the DVD cuts and the Blu Ray cuts are supposedly the originally aired episodes, so I'm noticing quite a few missing punchlines and the like.

WALKING DEAD. very fast paced up till season 4. Then they slowing down from around mid season break of season 4. I have yet to finish s4 but I think after some real fast paced s1-3 they are deliberately dragging it out now for as long as possible

I've got to say that I have been impressed with the original programming we are seeing from Netflix. Shows like House of Cards, Hemlock Grove, Orange is the New Black, Dreamworks Dragons (for the kids), and most recently Daredevil and Bloodline have all been really good.

Bloodline is next up for me!

I think you will really enjoy it. It's quite the "slow burn" character study of how family tragedy and dysfunction impact each and every member from formative years to adulthood. Great drama, suspense, and story telling. I found myself on more than one occasion going, "oh my head, I can't believe that just happened" and not in that over the top (jumped the shark) way.

Halt and Catch Fire on Netlfix. Really good quality show with an exciting story. I'm surprised I hadn't heard about it before a few days ago.
