Just finished Money Heist on Netflix. Loved it.
Is that the Spanish show? There's a new series, right? I've been wanting to watch that and an Israeli action comedy for a long time but I have so much backlog to get through.
Yes, it was the Spanish series. I also watched the English dubbed version. I just found out they're making a season 4!
Watching Carnival Row now... Three episodes in and we are hooked.
11 minutes in and pressing forget in my brain.
Disproportionate production value to the quality of writing/character development, exposition-fest in general. Pity for the caliber of cast involved.

I can't cope with this mid-action dropping scripts having to get to know a zillion characters all at once with sub-par world building (to my liking evidently). Too many series are dropped in this manner, and I don't bother past the first 15 minutes.

We are on episode five and so far it is pretty good. Is it the best show ever, nope, but we are entertained and this is really all we ask from a show.

I haven't even started it yet.
But as far as your post is concerned, that is how all these shows are now.
They are modern day soap operas. Twists, stupid choices by characters, hidden characters, and boobs.

Great espionage 6-piece despite how frustrating both sides of the lake have been over the years. Cohen has finally landed a role that suits him to the dot, pity he wasn't cast for Freddy Mercury, I suppose his age was a serious factor. The series has very tense scenes at times, some tolerable melodrama here and there, overall a must watch if you are not easily insulted by the ongoing conflict from either side of the border.
Word is, he wanted to go much darker, really explore the seedy side of Freddy's life (real or hearsay ...), and the band, his estate handlers, etc., wanted to keep it more positive, so there was (again, supposedly), too much creative conflict so Cohen left the project.
ooh yes, I've read it, you're right, Rami Malek was definitely struggling with the role (and the dental fixture), not sure how & why he received so much praise

I gave Carnival Row a second chance, I stand by my original statement despite the fact I like fantasy as well. I'm glad though people find it enjoyable, only wasted on me.

both are 3.5 star quality:
UnDone on Amazon; its an animated video process but actors are real. Script puts boring in to the word alternative life.
Carnival Row; some of the vocals are fuzzy, characters talk like they are not facing the microphone. The steam punk visuals are good.
