who can I bitch to about flash?

OK I've finally have had it. Now I'm really pissed. Last nite I wanted to listen to Wolfgang's Vault on my Ipad and guess what they use flash to stream there audio. it was bad enough I cant view Hulu but this is the last straw! Most of the sites I go to are using flash. Who can I sent a very angry email to at Apple. I need an address. I'll email Steve Jobs himself if it will help. w/o flash this thing is almost useless as a internet device.

There's a free Wolfgang's Vault App. I've had it on my iPhone for over a year now. It's awesome and Flash-free.

That's a great idea. Maybe they don't even know Flash doesn't work. They might even send you a thank-you note for pointing it out. Let us know how it works out for you.

Or, email the sites themselves and express your dissatisfaction that they're obliging you to download third party software to access their content and making it unavailable to you on idevices.

There's a rock over there you could yell at for awhile.

I would like to be sympathetic but the iPad's inability to play flash is widely known. It is therefore reasonable that you knew about it and bought it anyways.
 
Even android devices with flash cant play back Hulu without some fudging around with the browser. Hulu blocks mobile browsers because they did not include them in their content deals.

But Hulu is working on it so soon there will be an iPad app, along with XBox and other devices, but also probably with some kind of fee.

Seriously, if you want to complain, you should complain to the operators of the websites. They really should be made to understand that making their site dependent on Flash is cutting off an ever-growing segment of mobile browsers, and that's just not good for them.

And I'm not just talking about iPad and iPhone users either. Let's face it, there still isn't a viable Flash solution on any mobile platform yet. I don't know why people only point at Apple on this. Even on Android it only mostly works, and that is on a very small percentage of the total number of Android devices.
 
This thread is nothing but baiting, but Hulu doesn’t work on any mobile device because Hulu’s owners want it that way … Flash compatible or not.

Email the web sites developers and tell them to stop using flash.

In any case, I am glad you are having this problem. You deserve it.

I hate Flash, it's time to move on...developers (me included) need to move on to newer technologies like CSS, Javascript, HTML5, etc. If it's so specific that it needs more interactivity than HTML5 gives you, there is the App Store.

Flash = outdated, proprietary crap. One of the things I love about iDevices is that they don't support Flash. It's about time.
 
As a webdeveloper I stopped programming in flash. All web developers need to make both a mobile site and a desktop site. Don't blame apple. Blame the developers.
 
Well, you could bitch at Adobe first, CS5 doesn't run on my iPad either! Also, the makers of AutoCad could use a piece of your mind, again, no-go on the iPad. And don't even get me started about Microsoft-- no Office 2011 and the iPad won't run Windows 7-- those b***ards!

I'm just an old jackass. I was going to wait till the next generation came out but then Att screwed everybody by limiting their data plan so I bought the ipad and a 3gs iphone to get in under the wire. Sorry to say I really don't know much about apple equpt in general. the last apple I owned was a apple II. after that I moved over to pc's and never looked back. I'm still trying to figure how to use itunes.
so lets try and go easy on the old man huh?
