Bought a case yestersay. I took off the plastic from the back but I trimmed the front plastic one. It works well as a screen protector untill some good ones come out.

I hate how the home button is impossible to push with the plastic on. I only leave it on until I get my screen protector though. In the meantime I turned on Assistive Touch to let me tap twice to hit the home button instead. Much better.

That's a great idea. I usually shrink wrap mine at work. Then poke holes in it as needed.

Funny...

The first thing I did was remove the screen protector from both sides. I prefer all my things to look used with some wear (not abuse).

Like a baseball glove, good suit, or well healed shoes--I think they all look better with some signs of obvious use.

Mines in a safe. :(

I took mine off. How else are you going to tell if you have scratches and scuffs if you don't take them off?

Took front one off reluctantly yesterday only because it was too hard to hit the "home" button, kept the back one on. Got a Zagg screen protector and a case today for my iphone 5

I am trying to muster up the courage to remove the plastic from my phone, but it makes me nervous thinking about it getting scratches. I don't want to put it in a case yet either because that could possibly scuff the sides.

My factory plastic doesn't come off until I'm able to get Zagg front and back.

My iPhone was delivered went across the street to AT&T store opened iPhone there. Then I got front and back protection.

Nope. My ghost armor dealer won't get the screen protectors and carbon armor for another week.

another OCD person here... my skin i ordered as is a case that will be here monday..... once i have those i'll take the plastic off!

I refused signature when the UPS guy came and shielded my eyes to make sure I didn't even see the box. Then I soaked my whole body in bleach for being so close to it. I'm going to accept the delivery when my surgery to remove my fingernails is finished and my interior designer has finished padding down every surface of the house.

But on a serious note... When it comes to screen protectors... Cannot stand the bubbling bastards. Amazon considered both my 4 and 4s like new and paid their top price. And I often found myself throwing my keys in my pocket with my phone. Maybe some people aren't used to how scratch resistant the screens are now because they've always used screen protectors?

I used to be all paranoid about protecting my phone but now I just run around naked, and I don't cover my phone with anything either

I figure why buy something so fine looking and then cover it up. I was going to go the invisible shield route but I don't think I'll bother.

I did pick up an eyeglass case (the leather, fuzzy lined sleeve). I'm going to trim that down and put my phone in that when I have my phone in my pocket at work. Mainly to keep the grit out of it (and from rubbing the screen all day) and to protect from bumps.

Do you also keep plastic on your TV remote and couch? Get some proper protection if you need it. Keeping packaging materials on your phone is trashy IMO.

It's my experience that if you constantly obsess about scratching your iPhone, you will end up scratching it. Just enjoy the phone for what it is.
