I’m really interested in the SB wallet to use with a naked 12 mini white. How is your wallet with the naked phone?
I know this wasn’t directed towards me, but I can offer a bit of my experience. I’m using it with the Apple Leather case, and it’s more stable on that vs being directly on the naked 12 mini.

I think it’s a friction thing. It will slide and move around a bit more on the naked phone’s glass, whereas it’s rock solid, and stays in place on the leather case. I’d still says it works just fine on the naked phone but I’d be more confident with it being on the back of a case that adds friction. That’s my experience.

The 6s Plus has a total screen area of 83.4 cm2 whilst the 12 Mini has a screen area of 71.9 cm2.
Sure, active screen versus actual total size. The total size is 57% bigger to get that 16% extra active screen. Not exactly anything to brag about. Not sure where you got the 30% bigger screen number. From your own numbers: 71.9/83.4=1.1599 bigger, or 16% gain for the phablet 6S Plus over the Mini.

Sure. However if you look at the difference between the face size (width x height), the 6S Plus requires almost 57% more surface area to achieve that effective screen area. What was your point again?
Diagonal size only tells half the truth;)

Your right, the total size isn't worth it for the overall device size although others don't seem mind.

As for the 30% bigger screen, it wasn't me that stated that it was the post a couple above mine.

Thanks for sharing man! Really appreciated ✌🏻

Has anyone else noticed battery life with 14.3 and 14.4 has taken a bit of a nose dive with the 12 mini? My phone used to make it to 6 or 7pm with at least 25% left and lately I'm at 10-15% instead. Not sure if I should just wipe and reinstall the OS or if it's something else.

Haven’t noticed any decrease in battery life. Maybe all you need is a simple hard reset (won’t erase any data nor settings etc.). I had some minor issues after upgrading too, but a couple of hard resets resolved them.

Same battery life on 14.4 so far. Around 4-5 hours of screen on time.

I'm sorry, I completely missed the XS part, please let me know how the battery life compares, IDK why but I'm curious about the Mini, coming from a 11 Pro Max, I just don't know if my old eyes would appreciate it though.
I had XS until December 2020. In my daily use I see very similar of battery usage. 11 Pro and Pro Max were exceptionals in battery usage so don’t expect better than them, more likely less about one hour or so to 11 Pro and maybe two hours of Pro Max. I’m getting between 4:45 to 6hours with mini depending what I do.

Here's something for those who like the idea of getting the mini but feel they might sometimes get battery life anxiety if out for a long trip etc...

It's a Magsafe powerbank - so you can use it as a magsafe Qi charger most of the time (plug it into power) then when you need extra touring power, take it with you and can piggy back on the phone (like a magsafe wallet) charging your phone at 15W (and it's $10 cheaper than an Apple wired only Magsafe charger)

Wow. Kinda thick. More than twice as thick as the iPhone. I guess if the thickness doesn't bother you, it's a workable alternative.

It’s only an option for occasional use when out and about... if you don’t already have a qi charger, then why not get one that doubles up as a portable powerbank if needed.

I’ll be sticking with my old Ikea combined bedside lamp and qi charger by the bed. ;-)

I haven't been this conflicted about the screen size since 2016 :) I got the mini and I love the feel of it, perfect size and weight, can't even feel it in my pocket. Battery is an adjustment but probably not much worse than, for eg, the XS so I can make it work... But I am having serious remorse every time I look at the screen on my 11 Pro (even though content displayed is the same). Don't know whether to keep the mini, go back to the 11 Pro (its heavy af but that battery is unrivalled), or go to the 12...

Steve was right, users shouldn't have too many options, analysis paralysis is a thing :D

5.8" was absolutely perfect imo. I've never held a phone that physically & internally felt more perfect as a modern smartphone than the 11 Pro.

It's the ideal bridge between stellar performance and a relatively compact size. Wish the Pro line-up still kept that screen option alive.

Keep the 11 pro as your daily phone and the mini for iOS beta testing 😊 or I can take the mini off ya hands for free if you like 😁😂

The mini felt awesome in the hand when I had a quick play with it at the apple store, shame I’m use to the pro max phones.
