I will be, and I can’t wait! I’m still using an iPhone 6 so it will be a real upgrade for me.
Made a quick mockup in Illustrator on some card stock. Still not sure how I feel. I'm coming from an 11 Pro right now and I like the screen size, but it is annoying not being able to reach the top left corner right now. Also, when I'm watching YouTube in bed my fingers tend to get sore from holding it.
Copping the mini. Love the way my SE work phone feels in my hand compared to my XR. Can’t wait.
I'm in the same boat. I have the X and considering the mini or the 12 pro. The mini has 10 hours less audio playback time than the X currently, but video playback increases by 2 hours. Battery would certainly be a big factor for me.
I think they intentionally chose a guy with giant hands for that video.
I’ll be anxiously awaiting preorder on the 6th for the mini. Coming from the iPhone 7 and want to keep the small form factor. Between small hands and annoyingly small pockets in women’s jeans I think this mini will fit the bill.
Sadly this is true for me! Love the thought of getting the mini but I know I’d struggle with it.
I recently used an 2017 SE for a few weeks and I don’t know how I managed to (happily) use the 3GS, 4S & the 5s for all those years (until I got the 7 in 2016).

Do you use the zoom function, because I'm not sure how having a bigger screen would benefit eye site unless you're using accessibility to increase the size because otherwise on-screen elements are the same size you can just fit more on bigger screens.
Really torn between the mini and Pro. On the one hand, I love the idea of a smaller, lighter (significantly - 2 ounces) and cheaper (significantly - $300) phone but I do use the zoom on my 11 Pro and it sounds like LiDAR will help portraits (only in Night Mode, though?). If mini had zoom instead of ultra-wide (which I rarely use), it would be a no-brainer
Can you share a DXF file of the iPhone 12 mini outline? Would like to cut it out on our CNC and see how it feels. @stringerhye
The first thing I thought when I saw this is my old Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100, and sure enough the iPhone 12 Mini is indeed the size of a Samsung Galaxy S2, lol, that is incredible!
Correct. I was trying to say its nice that the mini will have a larger screen in a smaller form factor so that might be good enough. Might choose the 12 or pro to get the even bigger screen and battery. I like small form factor though.
I love how a once phablet is now an eye straining small mini.

They're just the JPGs from Apple's tech specs page sized to the correct dimensions and printed.
You have no way of knowing what it is actually capable of.
Can't wait to get the Mini. I have an iPhone SE (original) but have also been using an iPhone X from work for the past week or so. I just don't like the size, and with the 12 being marginally bigger than even the X, I'm really looking forward to the Mini.
I just hope in the future they offer the Pro Specs in a Mini case.
