Just pre-approved my preorder! 128 mini in black.

I've always gotten delivery on release day when I've preordered, but next Friday I know that I will be in the vicinity of a nearby apple store in the afternoon for an appointment. If I choose to do in-store pickup, am I able to specify an appointment time? Or do they just assign me one? Will they hold my phone all day?

You can specify your pickup time.

iPhones are great with standby time. The mini battery power for me won’t be enough. Even tho I’m around chargers, I didn’t like my experience of constantly using the battery case with the se2. The routine got old.

I returned that real quick and that is what I think the 12 mini battery life will be.
The mini has a 23% larger battery and a more efficient processor — we’ll see how much difference that will make.

Got these two cases ready to slip onto the Mini. Going to be a long week!! Took a picture next to an iPhone 5 for size reference.

I went through the pre approval process for tomorrow on the iPhone Upgrade Program and selected 64gb but changed my mind and want the 128gb, does anyone know if there's a way to change the pre approved model?

You will be able to do it only when the actual orders open up tomorrow. I had the same issue with originally ordering the iPhone 12 for my wife and wanted to change color. Once it opens there will be a place to click where it says update or change model (I am not exactly sure where but I did see it)

I'm torn with the IUP or ATT's $700 credit. I don't know what value I'd get for my iPhone X, as the battery and back have been replaced (it was never dropped, but the back cracked somehow). The new battery has been showing it needs service ever since iOS 14, despite being less than a year old. but structurally the phone is good with no issues on the screen

Is anyone out there who had been really interested in the Mini feeling cautious about it now after seeing the results that the iPhone 12 (so in theory, so will the 12 Mini) has the same PWM flicker on the display as previous models, which affect some with eye strain, headaches, etc?
Just curious- I was one who was affected by this on the XS, and so went back to regular LCD models (have an 11 now), but really want the Mini as it is the perfect size. I am hearing that some people who are sensitive to this are not having trouble on the 12 even though they did with the XS or the 11 Pro, so I am thinking there could still be hope that the Mini will be OK- especially with the smaller screen to be staring at vs these bigger models in the past that had OLED screens.

But I am disappointed that they did not increase the flicker frequency this year, which makes me worry if I do order, it will be wasted effort as I may get excited about it but ultimately end up having to send it back.

I got my Onsala brown leather case from Gigantti (ElGiganten in other nordic countries) Here it is next to my current iPhone 8 Apple Saddle Brown case. THEY ARE TWINS for real! :D Seeing the case size for the Mini in real life confirmed my thoughts that the Mini is just right for me and not too small 'cos it's only a whisper or so smaller than the 8. Jeez, can't wait to get my Mini, TOMORROW WE PRE-ORDER, IS EVERYONE READY?! :D :D

Nobody can tell you whether you’ll have problems with the screen or not. The only way is for you to go the trouble to try it out yourself.

Anybody able to tellewhether delivery is faster than pickup at the Apple store in Berlin Germany, or vice-versa?

Oh, that is pretty! Looks like they have a few in stock at my local shop (ElkjĆøp in Norway), so I might go check out the colours in person. I still need to decide on the phone colour though...

Well I’ve been undecided on what colour iPhone to get, luckily before lockdown I’ve managed to see some of the colours especially blue and black, now I have finally decided on blue.
1pm tomorrow can’t come soon enough.
Blue iPhone 12 mini 128GB.

I am.

I really like the 12 series and would really like to upgrade from my 8+...but also don’t want to go through PITA factor having to return it if there is an issue.

My wife is considering a 12 pro max so if she pulls the trigger Iā€˜ll probably play with her phone to see if I have any issues and then decide (this assumes all 12-series phones have the same/similar screen specs other than screen size). She ā€œinheritedā€ my <2-week old iPhone X 3 years ago when I realized I couldn’t continue using it and has an XS Max now with no issues.
