Hi everybody, seeing a lot of nice watches I decide to join . I'm debating between these two colour schemes, can you give me opinion to which looks better? I'm a student graduating soon so I need a watch both looks professional, casual, easy to see.
Thank you for your opinions!

Holy cow. A fellow USNer here. The famous Althaur and his Panerais! Nice.

citizen. Bit busy dial, but in person very nice.
Looking at them all the time not just to check time
You've got some nice watches there! I especially love that Orient Bambino.
Gorgeous photos. Love the Orient Bambino. The Seagull looks intereting. Cheers
I just received a somewhat early graduation present from my parents. They actually bought it a couple of years back from my watch show buddy, and I've known about it, but they decided to allow me to wear it to my thesis defense next week.
I'm not a Rolex guy, but when my dad asked me a couple of years back if I would want one, my exact phrase was "The one I like the most is the two-tone Datejust with a Jubilee bracelet and champaign dial." The conversation progressed a little bit further, and I finally said "The next time you see David ...(my watch show buddy, and a childhood friend of my dad's) look at what he's wearing, but without the diamonds."
The next thing I knew, he'd up and bought David's watch. As I said, I'm not crazy about the diamond dial, but the watch will remain special to me and not something that I would ever conceivably sell.
This is a 1980s Datejust, ref. #16013. It was serviced and sold by DeMesy watches in 2010, a reputable dealer of pre-owned Rolexes.
I spent a few minutes this evening adjusting the bracelet on it. I still need to move a link around to get the clasp centered on the back of my wrist, but at least the size is correct.
Needless to say, I'm tickled to death with it. It will likely be the only Rolex I ever own(or at least the only one I keep), as it represents a significant milestone and is a generous gift from my parents.

Seagull looks lovely. I like a nice 2 register dial.
I just bought a refurbished 1959 Smiths Empire pocket watch.
Has a new mainspring so really loud tick. Consequently it is banished to my office in the house as my wife cant sleep with it in the room with her.
The design takes cues from classic watches of the 1950s and 60s that straddle the line between dress and casual wear.
The dial is clean and open, with applied baton indexes to mark the hours. These batons, as well as the hands, are faceted, making it extremely easy to read the time in all kinds of lighting conditions.
Visited a Rolex retailer this morning. Wasn't planning on buying anything but I did. I purchased a Tudor Style (34mm) since I was looking for a vintage-inspired simple watch. The Tudor Style is what I was searching for. It's minimal, clean, elegant, and has a vintage and classic appeal.

Nice. Simple and elegant.
Been a while since I bought a Rolex. Had a few, GMT Master II, Submariner, SeaDweller (the proper one, not the abomination doing the rounds now), daydate and a few datejusts. Yes I am a watch addict. Good watches but when did they stop putting them on the little leather cushions in the box?
