I've always been fascinated by watches since I was in grade school with my Texas Instruments digital watch, to High School with my Casio calculator watch. And in College with my Guess and Nautica watches. Finally getting to the point where I can afford brands 10x that price. Just picked up a pre-owned and authenticated:

I hope you enjoy it. Well wear.

Anyone have experience with purchasing Seiko watches in Tokyo, Japan?
I'm due for a trip there soon and wanted to prepare :)

I'm looking for recommended models exclusive there, places to purchase, potential prices etc.

A year ago I lived in Tokyo :) You can get some models that are exclusive, although I don't remember all of them. I bought a SARB065 (Cocktail Time). I ended up buying it at Bic Camera (kind of like Best Buy in the US) as they had good pricing. My experience is that usually the really big chains have good prices on watches in Tokyo. Places I can remember at the top of my head that I would recommend you checking out is Bic Camera and Yodobashi Camera (both are chains of stores).

Enjoy Tokyo :D It is gorgeous at this time of year.

Thank you for that info! Do you happen to remember price ranges (how much should I tuck away in the money satchel to be safe?

Well it very much depends on what kind of watch you are looking at. But I think I remember paying at around ¥40-45,000 for mine. But they range from less than ¥10,000 all the way up to several hundred thousand yen for the Grand Seiko's

That's not bad at all 45,000 Yen for a SARB065!

What should I "budget" for one of the Brightz and SARG lines?

Around two weeks ago, I managed to do damage to the crown (and apparently, the minute hand, too) on my Omega Deville while attempting to re-set the date function.

And, sad to relate, it cannot be repaired locally, and nor can the necessary parts be sourced locally, and thus, must be returned to Omega in Switzerland for a service and repair.

I doubt that I shall lay eyes on it before the latter part of January at this rate.

I recently found a picture I took earlier this year when I was in Okinawa, Japan. In the picture I am wearing my Omega SMPc. I love this watch and it is, and has been, my daily driver for the past 1.5 years, with many more to come.
