No thanks.

I speed-read, but prefer not to watch videos, and twelve minutes of my time is too much to ask.

A simple sentence would suffice, identifying content from left to right, as with a photograph of a group in a history book, or a football team on a bedroom wall.

The picture links to a post with the exact contents of the photo from left to right, yet you still complain simply because I had the video link there underneath? Ok. I'll move along now.

With respect, the thread is for those who wish to discuss - and indeed, show - their watches, and instead of defensively reacting, making the content of your post clearer might aid those of us who like to admire watches without having to click on links.

In any case, I prefer not to click on links - especially lengthy videos - this is not a website where I have gone hunting for details about watches, but is, instead, a thread, to discuss watches.

If you post a selection of watches, I fail to see why you cannot give a left to right explanation of the contents of the picture, which would allow those who wish to see what you are showing at a glance - along with a comment to the effect that further details are available in the picture should one care to link.

LOL slow day?

I prefer to read, and I speed-read, and can take in a lot of information quickly that way.

And, I will hardly ever click on links; physically, I don't like watching video, and I value time.

A quick left to right list satisfies my curiosity, and allows me to admire that which may be of interest to me.

Back on watch related topics, earlier this week, I received a phone call from the shop where I had bought my Omega seven years ago. Before Christmas they had confirmed that they were unable to repair the watch, and couldn't order the relevant spare parts (crown and minute hand both met a bad end), and that the watch would have to be sent to Omega in Switzerland..

This week's phone call confirmed that, and gave a quote for repair and servicing (which I accepted). Omega also offered a strap and buckle - and this offer, I declined.

After nearly two months without it - it had been sent to Switzerland, and the Yuletide break no doubt delayed matters somewhat - my Omega Deville has been just restored to me, this evening, repaired, serviced, with various parts replaced, and has been issued with a spanking brand new 24 month warranty.

How old is your Omega?
