I am able to add Capital One to my wallet.
Just got off the phone with Capital One technical services and they have confirmed verification on macOS will not work. They said they are working with Apple (if you believe that) for a fix.

Ordered mine on Wednesday and picked it up on Thursday. How long does it take to get the trade in kit from Apple?

I have a question...

I ordered a sky blue M4/1TB/24GB RAM on March 11th to be picked up at the local Apple Store. Pickup date is shown as March 24th.

Today the order status changed from "Processing" to "Shipping to store." I've never seen that on a pick up order before. Usually they go from shipping straight to ready to pickup. I assume it's probably coming from China. But processing was faster than I've seen before on orders that I had shipped to my home.

Just wondering if anyone knows how long "shipping to store" takes? Any chance I'll get to pick it up early? That would be nice.

My mom ordered the same model for store pickup a few days after pre-orders started and was quoted 3/18. She got a message 3/12 that it was ready for pickup.

Tempting and this is coming from someone with a specced M4 Max MBP 16"...
However due to storage upgrades and the 'next thing' being nearby... aka MBP; can only be viable if base spec or at most 512GB. But thanks to cheap external storage nowadays can probably get away with base spec storage.

Yours might be custom order. If you check the tracking you'll see why.

When the shipping dates are very long you know it's coming direct from China.

Even mine M4 Max 16" MBP with Nano 16/40 C/G and 64GB/1TB ram is from China. which is why only apple pick up store && shipping delivery were the two options.

Cool! I'll keep my fingers crossed.

So much for me buying the MacBook Pro 14”. It turns out the screen is too small for my aging eyes, so it will be going back. I will be pre ordering the Air 15”, 24GB and a 1TB of storage.
yeah the 14 inch is too small. I bought my wife one last year. Today I was loading some photos into her Lightroom and thought "THANK GOD I don't have to edit photos on this screen!" I've got a studio display for that work. I'm 49, so 15 inch is as small as I would go.

You can do that? I'm skeptical about mailing services and dropping it off at the Apple Store would be great.

Yep. Annoyingly the online order process told me I could not and they sent me out a return kit anyway. But I took it in with me to pickup my new one and they did it in the spot.

Just placed an order for 15" Starlight/M4/1TB/32GB RAM after debating between 13" vs 15". I'm coming from early 2015 16GB MacBook Pro so I'm sure I will see a difference.
Yeah for sure you will notice the difference!

I went for the exact same spec to replace the same ancient laptop! The only difference is that I went with the Sky Blue color option.

It is quite incredible how a 10-year old laptop can still be used for light programming and office work. I expect another decade from this M4 machine.

I was helping my wife set up her new Sky Blue MBA 15 and surprised to see pieces of fur or fibers all around the display. I am surprised it wasn't noticed during QA. I was worried the fibers were caught beneath the display but fortunately they wiped off with a microfiber and some lens cleaning solution. The fibers felt a little sticky too.

Fortunately, I was able to clean it all off but still a little disappointed for my wife's first Macbook experience. At least we don't have to return it.

I would like a 10 years macOS support on M Series chip… like Mac Pro 2013.

My 13" blue came today, so it was a bit earlier than expected. I love the color: classy and subtle. It took a while to get everything transferred over and working. But everything is good to go now and I'm very happy.

The Apple Store it was delivered to has a new"Order Pickup" station back by the genius bar. I showed the nice Apple Employee my order info and ID. While we waited for it to come from the back, we had this discussion:

Apple Employee: You're going to love it! The blue is so pretty! And wait until you see how cool Apple Intelligence is!

Me (trying to keep a straight face): I'd be happy if Siri were a little smarter.

AE: Siri is a LOT smarter! You'll be surprised.

Me: If I ask my HomePod to read my shopping list, it still can't do it. It just says something went wrong. Alexa has been able to do that for years.

AE: Oh... Siri on a HomePod is different from Siri on your phone.

Me: Why?

AE: (... long pause with doe-in-the-headlights look...) Oh here's your new MacBook Air! I hope you have fun! Bye!

Yes, that's exactly what I did. I bought the Air one day and tested it out. (I was skeptical of how much a bump M4 was and wasn't sure I would keep it.) Once I saw the difference I decided to trade in my M3 MBP. I thoroughly wiped the computer, turned off the activation lock, and took it to a store the next day. Apple confirmed the trade-in quote and took it.

The one thing they've repeatedly told me is that if you start the trade-in process online, that's how you have to do it. You can't complete a trade-in, in the store after an online trade-in. I think it has something to do with the serial number you need to post to start the trade-in.

I would have made a little more if I had sold it on Swappa, but it was just too quick and easy to trade into the Apple store.
