Because Android forums are not as busy as this one. Well, XDA is... But it depends on the device. Nexus 5 is always busy.

I feel like a lot of the Android forums are loaded with people who can't work their devices (sort of like the iPhone forum here right after a release). Seems to be a lot more savvy android users here.

XDA is just full of people that are either entitled to an update to their ROM/Kernel.
Then you have the know it alls and a few Apple fanboys there(not too many, maybe 2 or 3) and then some people that ask for help, that are shot down for help by the know it alls.

I suppose you have a few friendly people though:p

MacRumors is no longer just an Apple site...it posts information on Apple, Microsoft, Google, Samsung, etc...This is a place where people who love all technology can come and talk about all devices. Also there are many Apple users here that love to share their opinion on Android so it creates a discussion.

Go visit popular Android sites like Android Police and they'll mention the iPhone and apple a couple times a year if that. Android forums that I visit have users that rarely discuss iOS or even compare Android to iOS but if they did I'd imagine they'd have more iPhone users there too.

Even though MacRumors tends to attract rabid fanboys of every stripe, it is a very lively community. I have yet to find a similar forum that is more Android-centric.

Like others have already said. I'm a big Apple fan but I'm also Android/Google/Sony fan. I love my Mac and my iPad but I rather use an Xperia smartphone. I also love my PS4 and 4K Bravia TV. They are great.

The only company I hate is Microsoft. It's because of them I have to use this disgusting thing called Windows 8 at work.

Because this is one of the most sane places to have constructive and useful discussion about android instead of blind "go android go" and "flash or die" attitude of other forums, as long as you ignore the fanboy ish debates.
I hear you. Beyond that there is the readability factor. Many of the Android forums are so busy that 2/3 of each page consists of ads, announcements, the obligatory 28 stickies, and the ads between posts. It's barely readable unless via a mobile app. Oh and how can I forget the signatures consisting of the last dozen gadgets purchased (with pics and links of course).

That said I have macs, iPads and Apple TVs and was here before ever having an Android phone.
