While Apple could try and become the majority share-holder, there are laws in place to stop this happening.
If they allowed Oracle to hostilely take over PeopleSoft then I am not sure it would stop Apple.
I want to fill my refrigerator with whatever I want without having to jailbreak it.
With Tim Cook at the helm, things will settle down and Apple will take on a more professional position within the industry. Instead of the chaos of an angry spiteful venomous CEO, he will calmly yet firmly deal with the issues.
Apple will benefit by operating in a very positive mode, resulting in even greater profits, and better moral within the company. Something he's already made great progress with.
He's a man on a mission that knows how not to take challenges personally, and therefore he won't get all worked up as the man he replaced. The board of directors has a very high level of respect and trust with Cook guiding the ship.
Since he's not the type that has to be right at all costs and is a very wise leader, Apple is looking even better by the day. Perfect he's not. No one is. But when he's wrong he's got the courage to reach out to his best men & women. Together they conquer the task, and everyone wins.
Just watch as he continues to get better and better, the skys the limit.
