And --- we are back to the graphics card.
But, do try a different power supply, still could be related...

How much more money do you think I should spend on replacing parts on this beloved iMac ?
If I continue to spending more money on used parts, I don’t think I’ll want to get the new 27” iMac when it arrives ? !

Im still on the search and found out that when working on a new user account, that has no apps that are used on the account that the issue happens, seems to be working flawlesly... well till now that is.
So i only think that it might be an app thats causing this... maybe working in the background, i dunno.
So i was thinking... might there be a way to find perhaps some log, that defines the reason why the freeze happens?
What can i look for?

btw... the only app thats working when the issue happens is Chrome :-(

Try running some graphic stress test like Unigine Valley to see if it could cause your iMac to shutdown.
But it would be meaningless anyway, as we already knew the issue of your iMac is either PSU or Graphic card, all hardware.

I have also noticed that this display freeze (that leads to a system reboot) also occurs when Viber app is running. Does this ring any bell why might this is happening?
