Oh, no not again. Why is an event needed for an updated Intel/AMD iMac? What else is in the pipeline? AirPods studio? iPad? In my opinion, not worth a traditional event.

However, events today will likely be online as WWDC was, so even smaller impact products might work well in that online format.

Does this guy even have a track record? Credibility? If Apple really ships iMac at the end of August it would be another dick move. Wtf Apple
We must be positive. Better days are coming at Apple regarding computers. It will take time, but don't lose faith. Yeah, Apple ships junk right now. But it's going to change soon. By December 2021 or so, the majority of the line up will be on Apple Silicon.

Whatever NVIDIA has cooking with Ampere is going to be big, but from what I'm seeing we're going to see a huge shake up at the sub $600 range. If I can buy a next-gen PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X console with a 16-thread AMD processor, RDNA 2-based GPU, and super-fast GDDR6 for less than $600 -- a graphics card on its own for $600 better be freaking good.

There is loads to be positive about for future iMacs. For AS. For Big Sur. For 'Mac' finally joining the iOS eco party.
Azrael.
He has also mentioned Arm MacBook prices which look to be $200 cheaper than the Intel versions. iMac 27" are more than double the price, so hopefully $400 price reductions.
This party?
not convinced. why do I feel like an Apple zombie being led down the path to ios.

LOL.
I don't know about the exact price.
WHY ARE YOU F*CKING WRITING A TWITTER POST ABOUT IT THEN ?

Fun With Charts: Entirely speculative charts about Apple Silicon
Last week I stared directly into the Apple marketing content and speculated about the information it was trying to impart with a WWDC slide. This week, prompted by reader David Hovis, I’d lik…sixcolors.com
I doubt Apple will name their Silicon "M". "Mx" was associated to the Motion Coprocessor in iPhones and iPad. It's now included in Apple SoC, but would be weird to call it "M".Komiya

ARM MacBook $799~ MacBook Pro 13” $1099~ (*idk about the exact price)
Yes. When it comes to pricing. Believe it when I see it...

If true and under £1,000, i’ll sod off the next gen consoles and build a £2-2.5k gaming PC. 144hz goodness, beautiful. Thanks for sharing all this RDNA 2 stuff, Azrael. You’re a good lad.[automerge]1596034595[/automerge]

'AS'.
POOOOOOWERRRRRRPHWOOOOAAAAARRRR!

There will be no hiding place for AS Macs. No Intel. No AMD to point the finger at.
You're only as good as your last desktop. And Apple's last desktops are mediocre and over priced.
They'll do well to release AS Macs that don't perform as well. There's alot riding on the AS for the Mac platform. Being equal or less won't be good enough. There will have to be a performance, thermal or design edge that comes from it. Or all three.
Azrael.
From 'that' link.
The biggest gpu shake up in a decade, I'd say. And more '£££' value competition.
It may seem like a 'slow no-show' right now.
But from September onwards...it's going to start kicking off tech' wise.
Hopefully Apple will drop a Mac morsel our way in August.
