I gave up hopes and wishing. Tim ****** will refresh it at the end of August. It’s tomorrow guys.
I know, but am a bit uneasy about these results as it seem to be a hack os some kind. I like it reproduced ina vanilla config before I believe it. At any rate reaching 10900K is no problem. We already have the result for A12Z in iPad Pro and it's 1118/4626. Single-core is great. They have to double the multi-core to reach 8289 by i9-9900K but there are many solutions to achieve that.![]()
If I'm making music in Logic Pro and I can run 80 tracks...and then the AS chip comes along in the new 27" AS imac and I can only run 70 tracks.......That will be a problem.
The single core score is there...it's the multi-core score that needs some work, which should be where it needs to be within 2 years.
* I'm going 2020 Intel imac....and then in 2025 I'll get an AS imac hopefully at 32"...........By then they will be in full stride with the AS and they will be that much better.
So, for 27” it will be released in 2021 March probably, because Tim ******* Apple. I’ll order beer to everyone for free when this greedy disgusting CEO will be fired or left Apple. It will launch when it will launch.
I'd love nothing more than a freshly designed iMac that can be used as an an external monitor like the 2009/2010 models could but there is no chance of that happening.
I wouldn't be using it "just as a screen", it would allow me to get rid of the monitor I need for working from home. Why purchase a full fledged computer just to use it for a screen ? lol.
And no, no chance for that to happen. Apple uses a custom display controller which prevent this kind of thing.
You should hate Intel for not supporting 5K resolution back in 2012 when iMac Retina came out. It's Intel's fault, not Apple's.I ****ing hate Apple for removing it in later models.
So I needed to pull the trigger on a computer with school coming up. Went with the base 27” with an SSD upgrade. Just saw online that the status says “Product selection being reviewed. Additional information will be emailed”. Not sure what that is for. Has anyone seen this status before?

Did you order through some educational or something discount? As I think that is what is causing this. Not an update.
However, (and DrRadon will LOVE THIS!) I've noticed yesterday that Apple completely changed availability on all models except top 27". 21.5 is ready 1-2 days and 27" is 1-2 weeks except the top model which is still 8-9 weeks.
Is it the 9th gen version that is in low stock or is this finally the signal DrRadon was waiting for![]()

It was with an educational discount. Maybe that’s it.
