The new iPad Pro is 3-5 days in the US, the 27" iMac is 2-3 weeks (and 3-4 weeks BTO); that's remarkable for a product that has been out for over a year. But of course, it doesn't guarantee that an update is imminent.Facts. Guy above said leak was coming yesterday, nothing. Then they're talking about iMac 27" ship dates have slipped. If you look at some of the other products like the new iPad Pro they also have 2 week delivery times.
so sad.... i think taht you're definitely right... but in this case will be very unfair from Apple..... 8 years SAME DESIGN........ at this point i think i gonna chose other computer...It's not happening today. And when they do it's probably going to just be a spec bump :/

Earliest delivery for the iPad Pro I'm seeing is May 26 - May 28.
Dates slipping at the moment don't really mean that much, don't forget COVID-19 is probably having an impact on supply chains.
That's my point. Some are saying the iMac ship times are an indicator that something is imminent but I'm also seeing slow ship times for other products. Either way, I'm dying for a new redesigned mac so I'll keep my eye open...
I have been holding out my 2009 MacBook Pro. And it died last week! Please I need the new iMac soon.
Prosser just dumped some more iPhone 12 details. Nothing on the iMac, which I assume he would know if it was dropping today at least (similar to how he announced it 2 hours or so prior to Apple's newroom announcement). Maybe tomorrow folks....
It’s not a coincidence, worldwide:
iMac 21“: 1 day
iMac 27“ (every single config): 2-3 weeks
Since I love a good conspiracy. A few new developments. It has already been discussed (here I think) that the most likely reason is the shortage of those 5k panels from LG. Thats why it slipped. I would love new and awesome 27" but I feel WWDC is more likely candidate unless Apple really wants to embrace this new format of digital time
Might be the reason. Delivery dates are difficult to predict anything from. iMP BTO is now down to less than a week (from 1-2 weeks) but there is no change in iMac 27" still 3-4 weeks BTO. Strange that both the 21.5 inch and iMP iget decreased lead times but iMAc 27 not.Well I do know one of LG's LCD factories is in Hangzhou, which wasn't locked down like Wuhan (they are about 1,000 miles apart) but Hangzhou did introduce a number of extra checks and quaranteen of items which have probably slowed down supply. I know this isn't the answer people are hoping for but would explain the lack of availability (even the 24" LG ultafine is in short supply in the UK).
Don't tease.... I have a feeling it's either sometime this week or silence until WWDC.This is the page you want to keep tabs on for the announcement:

Sound perfect to me. Please happen.... I'm not very confident though, so if there is a redesign and a 32" model comes out this week, I'll buy one for everybody in this thread, whether they want an iMac that big or not.hypothetically, if the delay with 27" is really due to the panels then that means that if the new ones are ready then there will be no bigger screen than 27" so maybe not even redesign (although that is not implied).
I sincerely hope that the delay is not panel shortage but the fact that the 27 will get redesigned and bumped to 29-32 or so and the 21 is ok because it will be budget option. (no redesign there).
24 will be introduced so now we will have 21" budget, 24 & ±30 as mid and high option. All classes and customers happy and all good. That would be amazing
Air, mid, high
Me too, me too. The iPhone 12 info from Prosser helped a bit. Knowing the base models are 128GB cheered me up slightly, haha. I'm sad, let me be!I’ve refreshed this thread and macrumors way too much today ? cmon apple!
