I stopped believing them after they were inaccurate with AirPower! ?Only leaker I believe in is Apple them selves
AirTags too!I stopped believing them after they were inaccurate with AirPower! ?
Why would it be a red herring?Beta 6 was Wed 31st. Developer warning was Mon 5th.
Metro exodus revealed mac release date of Wed 14th. This is a red herring unless iMac is included in event. But faceid for iMac seems to be in prototype stage still.
If we need an entire week for betas, then invites and RC tmr, full release on the 14th with an event.
April 20th seems inappropriate. 27th is too close to earnings. Leakers point to mid April.
The logic goes: the iMac releases along side this game to show off mac gaming. But if this connection isn't true, then Metro Exodus release is just a random date, a red herring. Why would it be a red herring?
You're an engineer at Apple? To me, the iMac releasing on the 14th seems too soon given the new size rumour, and faceid issues, but then again faceid doesn't take much development to add.
Oh, I see now. There are way too many clues suggesting that the smaller iMac will be released soon. I already provided a timeline in this thread (I think). The logic goes: the iMac releases along side this game to show off mac gaming. But if this connection isn't true, then Metro Exodus release is just a random date, a red herring.
Do regular consumers watch WWDC? It's like 2 hours long and directed at "developers".I say no event before WWDC. I'm not saying they won't do a press release of new iPads like last year. But new iMac and AirTags deserve bigger stage and I can see them being announced at WWDC alongside the new softwares. Especially since it's a digital event again and no one will know or see banners ahead of time. It'll be a bigger surprise.
I doubt 'regular' consumers watch any full-length keynotes anyway, hence why Apple now does recaps that are a couple minutes for YouTube. So yeah, still likely to see hardware at WWDC. I have to agree, I just don't see an event happening at this point. I'm just hoping for press releases either tomorrow or next week.Do regular consumers watch WWDC? We're in the YouTube/tiktok generation, where content is 10 minutes or less. No consumer hardware will be launched at WWDC.

What still chaps my hide is that, if it's all going to be press releases, then why did they delay the iPhone cases and Watch bands so long? Were they just that adamant about them launching along side the iPad? Seems dumb to me if that was the case... unless they're having an event. Idk, it's just been a really weird Spring in AppleLand.
There wouldn't be enough time to introduce all sorts of hardware and all sorts of software in such a short WWDC event.I say no event before WWDC. But then why not just release the Watch bands and iPad/iPhone cases? Unless the cases for the new old iPads will not fit the new iPad. But still, they usually release the iPhone and Watch cases together. Rarely do the iPad cases get updated. I think they only did it once, last year, with a handful of colors (Surf Blue and Cypress Green come to mind). I could be wrong, I don't follow iPad cases as closely as iPhone cases and Watch bands.Yeah, I doubt ‘regular’ consumers watch the WWDC keynote, but Apple fans likely do. I know I do. I even get up at 3am in my country to watch it stream live.
As for watch bands and iPhone cases, I think that the new colours will give away the new iPad cover colours, so the delay is potentially to release them with the iPad covers.
2018 was the only instance of that happening. I mean, it could still happen but I just really don't think we're going to see another keynote before WWDC. I'm thinking just press releases. Spring 2019 Keynote was announced (just barely) before they announced WWDC.The announcement of WWDC does not indicate that no event will take place.
2019: March event (25th) announced Monday 11th, WWDC Thursday 14th.
2018: March event (27th) announced Friday 16th, WWDC Tuesday 13th.
? Just take my money already Tim!If nothing tomorrow.. then waiting game continues for another week.
guess the pandemic is just creating all this mystery regarding releases for the next year
RC is not the full version of iOS, it's the Release Candidate. See:RC should drop on the day the new Pros ship. Probably a press release with orders starting that day. Shipping 1 week later. Date? Who knows? April 13 for press release is my guess. Shipping on the 20th.
SemanticsRC is not the full version of iOS, it's the Release Candidate. See:
What I was saying is, why would iPads release with a release candidate that is not a public release. I would think iOS should go public the same day as iPads are launched if their going together.
