Never owned an iPod, don't need one.

Not sure what exactly the iPod have to be able to do before I would consider one either.

Although I think it is a cool music player I don't really need it. My Sony Ericsson W880i can hold plenty of music for my needs and I rarely use it for that. It is a phone after all.

I have been waiting for 2 years since to get a video ipod with a bigger screen. And since last year i have been using a nano and the 4gb is killing me!

I'm not sure. I have a perfect, mint condition iPod 5.5 gen that's not full yet...plus, I have a Mini that I don't use. I'd rather not make my 5.5 gen obsolete and never use it again. I'd sell it, but it has sentimental value. :/ It really depends on what is updated.

i hope it has wifi too.
if it has wifi are you hoping for safar(i am) or something like music streaming or iTunes store?

I'm surprised no one has been worried about it being ~500 bucks if it's just a phoneless iphone. I'm concerned about that. Phone abilities are very inexpensive these days and the iphone is 500 or more. ...Even without a plan.

I don't see the lower end one being over 400 Canadian.

No way, I just got myself an iPhone, and when I get my 5G fixed, that should be good enough for me.

That's not to say I won't change my mind come tomorrow. :)

I'll be buying one once they can give me a compelling reason to upgrade my 10 gig iPod from 2004 (that has a nicer form factor and more space then the nano's do now!)

If they offer me a 10% discount for trading in my 4 GB nano and the lower-capacity (my guess 60-80 GB) 6G iPod video with touchscreen is reasonably priced, I'm buying first thing tomorrow! :D

I honestly do not know if I will get the new iPod,

Like I had the 8gb Nano for a week, exchanged it for the 30gb video (black) which was good and then returned it last friday cause there was rumors of a new iPod. I have a LG Chocolate Flip with a 2gb microSD card and it does fine playing music.

And plus, i don't want to be carrying a phone and iPod in skinny jeans; gets uncomfortable ;)

If one of the models has a 100+ gb hard drive, I'll buy it. 80gb just isn't big enough to fit my whole library on it, and I have already have an iPhone for my greatest hits song collection so I want the whole library on the iPod.
