11 inch pro will be my next iPad for sure now I have my MacBook Air....don't think I would need the size close to my air. portability on the sofa will be better. Just got to decide between 256GB and 512GB.

What do you mean too big to sit on your lap? Do you use a keyboard? I have had a 11" for over a year was thinking of going to 12.9" and from 64 to 256gb.
I don't have a MacBook have a 27' 5K iMac though.

12.9 is simply too big to use on the sofa without a keyboard. Never got along with that size without the keyboard. With my air I wouldn’t have a use case for an iPad with a keyboard now I never the air with trackpad

Ok, well that's turning me off a 12.9", that's a lot of my use at home, i don't use a keyboard either, never had with iPads.

i am considering buying the ipad pro11" 2018 but if apple realise a new one with no bending issues or touch problems i will definately buy this for college use

Maybe so, what's the odds some out of how many millions sold? Not a reason not to buy one, check it in store first or video it being opened and return it.
well you are right i hope they will replace it if anyone has that problem but apple has announced "normal" rates of bending out of the box and since they will announce a new ipad pro in march maybe, i will w8 until then

I'm still hanging with my iPad Air 2, but it's incredibly sluggish now, the battery is below 70% capacity, and it's got a major case of ghost touch. I could go out and buy a new one now, but I would rather get it early in it's cycle rather than well past it.

In truth, the Pro is probably overkill for my needs, but I prefer the aesthetics of the Pro over the current Air and iPad.

So, yeah....I'm excited for the upcoming refresh. A13X or not, my body is ready.

Everybody’s taste is different. I really like my 12.9 at home - but it’s big for an iPad and a case certainly helps to prop it up so you don’t have to hold it all the time.

Where has Apple announced that the bending issues are down to the aluminium cooling and where did they announce normal rates of bending please?

I just use the Apple folio for my 11" at home and have a cheap smart case for when i travel.

I have an 11" Pro, not sure what feature they would/could add that would entice me to upgrade. Also as I side note I typically justified getting a new one each time and hand down my iPad's to my elderly parents - so we would both get an upgrade! ;) But I don't think either of them would like or want a iPad (or iPhone) without a home button. I've tried showing them different gestures they can use now and it confused the heck of them.

I think that when Apple releases the new keyboard folio with the scissor keys that is backlit, if it is not compatible with the current 11 iPad Pro I could be tempted to upgrade.

That would be a cheap shop for sure if they did not make it compatible and the only reason why would be the new camera cutout. I am using the Brydge Keyboard now and it’s nice but a bit bulky. You either have to get a bulky keyboard or the slim but not great Apple Keyboard Folio right now.

No. The 11 is fine and I spent a pretty penny for it as well. $840 with tax for a 512gb 11 inch . Would be crazy to sell it for a new one so soon and with less storage .

Not just the camera cutout, but also the magnet placement... because of the camera cutout.

In the top left corner there is a series of magnets right where the larger camera bump would fit. So, even if a keyboard with bigger camera cutout could overlay fine on the iPad 2020 (just leaving a huge uncovered area around the small 2018 camera bump), it still wouldn't work properly because the magnets wouldn't be in the right place. For this reason (and not just because of aesthetics), I'm pretty sure such a hypothetical new keyboard would be restricted to the iPad Pro 2020.

However, at this point with the COVID-19 outbreak, all bets are off with regards to iPad Pro 2020 release timing.

I don't have an ipad, yet, but I'm tempted to buy one right now. It would suck spending $1k on a machine that's going to be outdated in 1 month..
