Exactly! Every time people ask this the answer is the same. The consumers by no longer buying it!There’s always a limit and with how the market is phones will not sell at those prices
Exactly it would go from bottom to top. Can easily control iPhone cost by not buying. Somewhat of a pain for Insurance sometimes, and moving is an absolute pain which is the only way to stop your rent from raising.Well, if cost of living increases aren't accompanied by wage increase, guess which of the above gets cut from the equation?
If that’s sarcasm you win.I think people can affort 2,000$ iphone , dont care what they do but they still want it and buy it
foreign country worker make 300$ per months and everyone has iphone 7/8/x even xs max on their hand , how that
to me i can buy iphone $2,000
apple card or att next = 100$ per month
american , every body own debt
who care > live fun and happy
That’s a good point.Exactly. The price used to not even move between models. But ever since the installments came, the prices went crazy because people just looked at the payment. Now even the payment is getting ridiculous when it is more than even the top tier unlimited plans.
H-E-L-L N-O!
I paid $1k once and that was too much.
Apple is moving away from my needs and wants.

Why the devil is it so expensive in Canada? For the base model?!
I appreciate that everyone's cutoff is different, but for $1700, you can get a computer AND an ipad.
Mind, US prices don't include sales tax. That’s about £14 more expensive than here in the UK on the current exchange rate. I’d never even entertain paying that much for a phone that essentially does the same thing as other large and cheaper iPhones further down the chain. The iPhone XR is becoming the business phone of choice from my experience and when my 8+ is out of contract i’ll be looking to upgrade to that tier device rather than paying for extras that would make no difference to my usage. No wonder people are keeping phones longer at these silly prices.
Has anyone asked where are these "supposed prices" coming from!?
They’re made up. These threads surface every single year, ‘will you pay XYZ for this iPhone...’. I made the joke earlier in the thread that the next thread will say ‘will you pay $3000 for an iPhone...’
Even with subsidize payments through carriers, the economy can’t support those types of prices for smart phones. Not when you have iPhone users that generally don’t upgrade every year. That’s why these threads are kind of ridiculous in some ways.
