Will you use a tempered glass screen protector on the iPhone 12, 12 Pro, or 12 Mini?

I prefer the plastic screen protectors as well but I can’t find any for the iPhone 12...did you have any luck?

I did find SuperShieldz for the 12 and 12 Pro on Amazon.

I found iCarez anti-glare for the 12 Pro Max on Amazon.

I bought both.

For years I have purchased Tech Armor. It looks like they only have glass for now.

From Engadget’s review:

Apple’s “Ceramic Shield” only seems to matter for drop protection -- I’ve been shoving these in and out of pockets and backpacks, and they’ve already developed tiny nicks and scratches. If you’re the type who likes their phones pristine, a screen protector is still a good idea.

I’m not sure how using a screen protector with cracked edges etc makes using and enjoying the phone ‘better’.

You're right, it doesn't. If you're going to use a screen protector with cracks it kind of defeats the purpose. Which is why I will never pay over $15 for a multi pack. Changing a screen protector when needed should not be an expensive thing.

Nope! Can’t stand screen protectors. Never used one and never will. My Speck cases have protected all of my phones just fine *crosses fingers*

I fully respect your choice to not use a screen protector, but if you've never used one, why do you say you can't stand them?

I haven't ever used one previously, but I'm always open to it. My big problem right now is that it seems Amazon Canada only has Pro Max and mini models for a lot of the brands I'd normally consider.

This one doesn't seem too bad, and it has application helper which I like. Is there a general risk to FaceID and the front camera in general with these protectors that cover it?

It's early days. I'm buying something inexpensive now to hold me over until I start seeing reviews and more products. Another reason why I won't spend a lot on a screen protector.

A few members of my family use glass protectors (Belkin) and they are all cracked and chipped.
I didn’t on mine, but I have a Apple Folio case so the flap protects them, and I much prefer the feel of the actual phone.

I’m not sure how using a screen protector with cracked edges etc makes using and enjoying the phone ‘better’. I’d rather have micro scratches on the phone itself.
Then, when you get something fixed (had a camera go bad), they take off your protector anyway.

I’m bummed that there doesn’t appear to be a folio case this year. But I’ll still try it without a glass protector.

When I've dropped my phone and cracked the screen protector I just took it off and used the other one(Spigen) or bought another pack.

I use the screen protectors that they sell at the dollar stores. I usually resell my phones and Apple glass tends to be scratch magnets.

I don't think I've had a screen protector since the 5s, they have ALWAYS chipped or broke, and I've owned every yearly phone with exception of the 3Gs with 1 broken screen. They are always under Apple Care, the buying multiple accessories it just is not something important any longer. I may grab a clear or color case that catches my attention and that is pretty much it.

This is the type of stuff I get a kick out of on Amazon; two seemingly identical protectors of the same brand, but one is almost half the price and has an extra included. So confusing lol

I’ve used these for my 11 Pro Max. One of the best privacy tempered glass you can buy! I’ve used multiple diff brands before and this is the one you want. The privacy works really well and you can barely tell there’s a privacy screen on your phone.

I just ordered it for the 12 Pro Max.

Spigen!!

The iPhone 11 may be worth the price tag, but the more expensive the phone, the more expensive it is to replace its screen and camera lens. Keep your investment safe with screen and camera protectors that protest against drops and fingerprints, scratches, and more.
