Will you leave the Apple ecosystem because of CSAM?

As a layperson, if I had to guess the medical community defined pedophile because I would consider it an illness. But you are right in that in politics different groups will have different definitions. As someone with progressive views, I say a pedophile is someone who is attracted to children. But more bigoted political groups might argue that certain gender identities/sexual orientations, religious groups, or racial groups are pedophiles automatically. Depending on the group, they were already accused of being pedophiles, like how gay men were seen as such in the past, or how today Islamophobes think Muslims are a bunch of wife beating pedophile North Africans and Arabs.

At least for now, the definition of pedophile at least in the legal and medical sense is narrowing down. If it gets expanded to basically anyone who isn't a white Christian cishet male though, I wouldn't be worried about Apple because that sounds like an United States where all opposition to hate groups is gone. I'd be leaving the States because that's when the violence would really get bad.
It wouldn't matter how you define it. It would matter how CSAM defines it. That could change over time.

I'm actually quite surprised at the percentage of votes indicating they are comfortable with CSAM. Wow!

I'm not exactly either a Yes, I will leave, or No, I won't leave. I'm in the middle. I think if CSAM were implemented, I will continue to stay but not pleased with CSAM and also continually assessing.

I don't really use iCloud to store my photos except that I do have pictures taken on my iPhone propagate to the iPad. That's not exactly using iCloud to store photos and I don't know if Apple still scans photos that cross into the iPad via internet from iPhone (if you know what I mean).

And honestly, for now moving to any Android device does not seem any better in terms of privacy.

Yup. Scary. And that's without counting the millions of users who don't write on forums and couldn't care less about the CSAM scan even if they knew about it.
True! I was expecting that folks who post on forums as such would more likely be against CSAM scanning of one's own personal devices.
