[Windows Guide] My 2.1 Jailbreak/QuickPwn experience...might help save you time.

i have been using jailbroken iphone 3g for the past 2 weeks or so without any hassles. frankly i liked it this way, (THANKS TO YOU).;)
now i am having a problem, itunes is not syncing my iphone, it says to restore?!!!!!?!!!:(
i did install some apps thru cydia and added 1 or 2 apps via ssh
is that the reason y itunes is not syning my iphone??

i have been using JB iphone and syncing it with iTunes without any probs but from the past day or 2 whenever i connect my fone to my pc it connects and disconnects again & again, after 3-4 attempts iTunes gives that dreaded reply RESTORE TO FACTORY SETTINGS!!!!!???

can u help me in this matter?/
will i need to restore because i havent seen anybody facing this problem in this forum and no 1 hasnt faced this problem in this thread?

Hmm yeah, that is weird...i don't know how to advise you as i haven't heard of this before but that said, if you can recall the applications you installed the past few days that caused this problem, try removing/uninstalling them and see what happens...other than that i am not sure. If you have anything from Installer installed, or Intelliscreen, those are two things known to cause issues so try removing them and see if it helps. Good luck!
 
Just followed this guide and had my phone jailbroken in like 15 minutes. Process is stupid simple and if you follow the directions you really shouldn't have any issues!

I also just wanna say that i edited this thread title by adding "Windows Guide" at the beginning, so it sticks out to some Windows folks who might be on the lookout for some jailbreak/quickpwn help, as i've noticed quite a few threads on basic jailbreaking questions again recently. I've also edited the pictures of what my phone looks like on the first post, as it has changed and i just wanted to update it. It is a heavily modified Bluebird theme, along with widgets, a custom wallpaper and icons/dock borrowed from another theme.

At this time, i am going to ask people not to request my theme from me, as i have yet to receive responses from the respective authors of some of the stuff i borrowed from, and i refuse to give anything out without permission and due credit. Please be patient, when i have permission for everything i will post it here or in another thread. Also, if this thread helps you guys out, PLEASE let me know how it went or what went wrong, as i doubt this thread will be stickied even though i've been told it's the most helpful Windows guide out there, but keeping it bumped will ensure others can benefit from it. Thanks! :)
 
I don't want your entire pieced together theme.. I just want to know what you use to get your email and sms on the lock screen. Please let me know.
