Well it’s actually still breathing at the moment, so it’ll be a few before I can give some details.

However, this is from a little place I’m fond of in the Dry Creek Valley in Northern California, 2014 vintage. It ought to be pretty tasty.

I look forward to reading "those details".

For myself, a bottle of Spanish wine has gone down exceeding well, and I am now sipping a glass (or two) of an aged PX sherry.

Last night’s GSM was deliciously smooth with notes of pepper, licorice, and herbs. Tonight I’m going for a Pinot Noir...

What is a GSM? A wine with a blend of Grenache, Mourvedre, and Syrah, perchance?

If so, I can well imagine that it was deliciously smooth. Some of the wines from the south of France come with this blend, and, done properly, it can be stunning.

What was the wine, and where was it from?

Yes indeed it was a Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre blend. I bought it from a small family winery in Dry Creek Valley in Northern California. It was really quite tasty.
