In conjunction with what @Scepticalscribe stated, it is also super rare and tell you how rare it is, the Total Wine I go to, which is a huge store, had one four pack and they would not hold it for anyone. First come first serve. I had the wife run down there since she was a lot closer! That little four pack is all mine! Will be enjoying one tonight!!!! Bring on the goodness!

I will be interested in what you think of it. When I can get my hands on it have enjoyed thoroughly.

I'm thinking of trying my hand at a hops hard candy recipe I found and possibly attempt a sweet 'marmalade' of hops. Boil a few times to get rid of the bitterness and leave the floral notes.

Do you wish to try to make marmalade or beer?

While I have never attempted the latter - I did make my own marmalade for a few years; I like bitter marmalade, so this was an orange (Seville orange actually), lemon and grapefruit mix. And - while very labour intensive, (and time consuming) it was both great fun to make (my mother played sous-chef - she had made her own marmalade as a young mother and had fun replicating the role when I was doing most of the work) and delicious to eat.

KBS is very delicious. This years batch I thought was a lot smoother than last years. I always pick some up and drink a few and then age the rest. They take on an even smoother finish after they have been aged a year or more. I still have some from each year back to 2012. Plus it's fun to enjoy the aged ones on special occasions. Helps that I live 20 min from Founders. There are some other great beers from the area that you all should try if you can get your hands on it.

Perrin Brewery's "No Rules" is currently the must have beer around here now. A Vietnamese Porter that is ridiculously tasty.

Yes, I held on to some from 2015 and was able to compare them with some from 2016 (and, again, I have held onto a few of those, as well for future comparisons and reference).

Today, I bought all the store had - a full 15 bottles. I brought four home with me; the remainder (along with some others - St Feuillien, Maredsous, and so on) will be delivered to my house next Tuesday.

Just got home from a trip to Napa. So many delicious wines. The best, IMHO was the Joseph Phelps Insignia 2013.

That being said, my wife and I joined Mumm Napa because we're big sparkling fans and we don't have a lot of sparkling grown locally.

Today, a small crate of beer was delivered to my house.

For the most part, the crate contained bottles of the legendary KBS (from Founder's), but it also played host to a few Belgian beers, - excellent triples, such as Maredsous, and St Feuillien.

Now that sounds like a nice crate to be delivered to one's home.

Yes, it is: Actually, it was bought last Thursday, and - on account of the Easter holiday long week-end (though they did offer to try to deliver it on Saturday), I suggested that they deliver it on Tuesday, as my cellar was more than amply stocked (and besides, a heavy cold has laid me low for the past few days).

Probably the two best beers in recent memory I've had were:

Chimay Grande Reserve (Blue)

Aventinus Eisbock

I'm a big fan of IPAs and Ambers, but will pretty much go for anything except dark porters.
Chimay Grande Reserve (Blue) is my favorite ale which, unfortunately, I don't drink daily. :p

A close second is Anderson Valley's Brother David Triple K Abbey Style Ale, brewed in Northern California, USA.

So basically amber or Belgian trappist ales... :)

Sweet mother of mercy!!!! I actually let this one sit to almost room temperature. Just a tad cooler and boy am I glad I did. The flavor! This beer packs a nice little punch, in other words it kicks the taste buds square in their face and doesn't release until you feel it is time. I am in freaking love!!

Can't wait until round two!!!!

Actually, I am of the opinion that you (that is, one) should serve those robust stouts at room temperature; serving them cold serves to numb the taste - which is usually beautifully well balanced.

Agreed. The next one will be served at room temperature to try it out and taste it in all of it's glory! I was very happy with this one and I can't wait to try another one. To me the hype is real on this one as I it is that good!
