There are some things that I don't like but < 24 hours is too early. Most I'll get used to and won't notice a week from now. I don't like the new notices/lock screen cause I don't use many notices but I'll sure it will be fine. Don't like new sounds but?? I can't see ever sending other than text for messages but again don't really care.

I think this thread is too early - although I expected it within minutes of IOS 10 being released

It's not literally the same functionality, as explained before. And having multiple people access the device with whatever fingers or even without fingers doesn't really account for TouchID being able to register just 5 fingers. But like I said, not really what this thread is about.

Yes, it is. If you want to troll, then that's fine, but it most definitely is.

The one prevailing reason that's been mentioned is the prevention of unwarranted unlocks, which is absolutely acceptable. The fact that there exists an option that has nearly a 100% success rate in the prevention of those unwarranted unlocks, and yet all of you are against it for reasons that haven't yet been made clear is just lunacy.

Option A: Move your finger across a portion of the screen to unlock said device, no preventative measures in place.

Option B: Rest your finger on a well established, physical button that not only unlocks the device in the exact same way, but also prevents said device from unlocking if it's an unidentified finger/thumb print.

You are literally achieving the same goal of unlocking your device with a more secure, faster, efficient method.

1: Fix the bug where when typing in a reply box online (not affecting this forum) the screen doesn't zoom out or follow where you typing this you have to move the screen constantly to be able to see what your typing.

2: P2P Apple Pay.

3: Geofencing ability (so my wifi turns on and off as I go in and out of my house without me having to toggle it).

We should make a wishlist of changes you would like to see in the next major update iOS 10.1

I'll start with these

-dark mode Agreed, especially with them touting black being the color of the iPhone 7.
-battery drain fixes Huh?
-more performance improvements Huh?
-new wallpapers I think Apple stopped investing in this, since almost all users seem to use their own wallpaper

I hope they add the following features:
  • ability to "edit" or mass update the up next feature in Apple Music
  • update the podcast app to match the style of Apple Music (there needs to be some optimization for people who subscribe to many, many feeds)
  • I would prefer there to be a Safari web view screen in iMessage to view the content quickly as opposed to opening Safari or YouTube, etc. (I have a non-3D touch device)

I have been having the problem with the screen not following what you are typing on this forum and I'm still on iOS 9.3.5. So it might not be an iOS 10 issue. But I haven't been on any other sites either. Only this one

1. Customize Clock icon on Control Center to default to Alarms, not Kitchen Timer.

2. Dark Mode to eliminate awful white notification windows.

3. Ability to hide juvenile iMessage scribble effects on text entry bar.

4. Ability to hide space-wasting contact photo atop iMessage compose window.

5. Ability to replace voice recorder icon with Siri icon in iMessage compose window.

I can't remember the last time Apple released an OS that actually made my life easier, not harder.

See I'm sure I have never had the problem before, and it is only present in some places and not here. Weird, either way it needs to be fixed.

I'd be a happy chap with grouped notifications.

iOS-10-concept-780x520.jpg

Turn off snooze in Bedtime.
A world clock widget.
Edit and clear Up Next.
And I'll join, why not - a dark mode.
Option to completely turn off Spotlight and Today.

Overall I'm 'ok' with most of the changes in IOS 10, but the new lockscreen notifications are annoying in terms of design and color choice. Really Apple needs to give us the option to tweak this. As it stands, the black text on grey background is hard to read at a distance, plus I can't see it meeting WCAG standards for contrast either.

The ****ing app switcher to not be so "fluid". Stop at every app. That thing is a pain in the ass to use. Seriously, how does anyone at apple think it's ok.

That's how it is with reduce motion enabled, and has been like that for some time in iOS 9 as well (assuming that's what you have enabled).

Put stickers anywhere on the screen instead of just on top of messages
New Unicode emojis
Smaller notifications on the lock screen that don't waste so much space
Option to not have the photo on top of messages
Sync people data on iCloud to Mac

Reduce motion elminates 90% of the new OS features.. Like, all of the new messaging features.. GONE..

It eliminates various new Messaging features, but that's hardly 90% of new features. That said, it doesn't really seem to be related to what I brought up earlier--that having reduce motion enabled is what would get you the multitasking/app switcher behavior you were describing (stopping at every app card), while having it disabled should give you the typical motion flow behavior (and not affect any Messaging features).

I think we have a misunderstanding.. I know how to get the desired effect by turning reduce motion off. But if I turn it OFF, then in imessag, I cant receive things like "balloons" and the likes..

Unless I'm wrong..

If reduce motion is ON then you won't be getting the new Messages effects (since animations will be disabled) and you will be getting the slower card-by-card app switcher experience, but if reduce motion is OFF then you will be getting the new Messages effects (since animations will work) and you will also be getting app switcher experience with movement and flow in it (again, since motion and animations are not disabled in that case).

Ability to delete emails from the notification centre.

Why do I need a notification centre if I can only acknowledge having received a notification by clicking 'clear'.

Waste of time.

Do you get any additional options if you use the "view" option (or 3D Touch if your device supports it)?

Exactly; I know this and it's what I'm trying to tell you. I WANT the cards to be slide by slide but still keep the new animations. That's what I want.
