The Pro Max was getting it's ass kicked at .......

Super steady video at 1080p and 4K
Selfies look much more sharper/detailed, even with video
Low light shots at even 5x zoom and ultrawide
Low light shots with front facing cam

Also, 8K seems like it's not a gimmick at all. I'm impressed so far.

I’m also impressed from what I’ve seen so far from the ultra.

Apple will need to focus on better zoom for this years iPhone which from all reports they will. Be good to compare the two when that’s out...TOF from what’s been said should help with better portrait and bigger sensors which should help for image processing.

If the early results of this camera hold, Samsung should focus solely on software processing for pictures from now on. The hardware is there to really make a leap forward but they need to nail the software side.

Almost everything? So....in the things that a laptop can do that we are replacing, things like hooking up to a monitor, mouse support. USB connections, abilities to download anything , unzip it, and install it on your 100% manageable file system. Obviously those sort of things are the basics, what sort of other things are we talking about?

Apple’s not trying to make the iPad a computer. They’re trying to make a new category of computer. Right now that category is just getting started, and it’s already awesome... it’s not a computer replacement, it’s a computer alternative.

Which is actually a good thing in my book, given that a laptop can do what I need a tablet to do.

Currently rocking an iMac + iPad Pro combo, and between these two devices, there’s really no reason for me to get a laptop.

There hasn’t been any rumours about zoom for this years iPhone so far. However a lot of things start to leak out around July. Last year night mode was a nice surprise.

Which is actually a good thing in my book, given that a laptop can do what I need a tablet to do.

I prefer laptops to desktops because I like computers to be portable and not be confined to one place. However I think unless you have a large workflow or need to use specific programmes which are not available on an iPad an iPad is good enough for a lot of users.

well rumours were camera upgrades so I'm guessing it will get better zoom but at this point who knows.

ultra does look better than the current iPhone now camera and video but will see what the new iPhone brings. Either way the iPhone camera was great last year and is still great. How apple uses TOF will be interesting as when they bring something out they normally make it better than the comp imo.

that said seeing what Samsung Is doing with the camera is great news...pushing tech through and making these companies push each other...which is what we want.

I know some fanboys like to see the rival company fail but why? if these companies don't keep improving it gives other less reason to get better each year.

So true, I never got the whole copying thing..if we as customers get the features and product we want why does it matter who copy’s who or who brings it out first.
