Since I don't wear watches now, I can't see myself wearing one of these, but who knows, once I get enveloped by the RDF I may change my tune :D

I believe the RDF died with Steve. I've seen nothing I "need" from Apple since then.

That said, we'll see, though.

I have no idea if I would get one.

I don't know what it's going to do, what it will look like or how much it will cost.

I'll make up my mind as soon as it has been officially announced.

I won't know if I'd wear one until I actually see one and what it does. Lot's of maybe's and if's until we see it.

It all depends on the price and battery life. These are the two areas where the Galaxy Gear fails.

I like the idea of the smart watch, since it would mean not having to pull my phone out all the time.

Well, it would depend on several things others have already mentioned in this thread.

But most likely not. It would have to really impress me to wear one.

If it's better than my Pebble while having a decent battery life, I would think about buying one. Happy with my Pebble for now.

who said the "iWatch" is something to wear? for all we know, the "iWatch" is apple's tv device.

Apple is about the simplicity not the hard and confusing:D

Yea. Expecting the same price of an iphone 5s :(

I'm also expecting the price of an iPhone 5s. But I think apple will be much more successful if its $100. I think for that price a lot of people who don't really care about apple will try it out.

Poll needs a "Don't Know".

That's where I am.

It totally depends on functionality and cost.

No, right now I see nothing that it could add, your smart phone of choice is just in your pocket or on your desk, it does not help you in any way.

The only reason the ideas seems to exist is sic-fi thought they were cool before the invention of the smart phone.

I don't have a watch now; stopped it 12 years ago and don't miss it. An iWatch really must have something very special in design or function to get a spot on my arm. Just time and routed connection via BT will not do it.

I'm open to the idea. But before I commit to saying *I will* to wearing one I'd like to see what Apple is/will offer and decide if it makes sense for me to have one - meaning it will have to provide some sort of functionality that I could actually make good use of and look good on top of it.

In a coffee shop.
No.

While I wear watches (and marvel at the story of the ingenious craftsmanship that went into developing accurate timepieces, and remain endlessly fascinated by the developments in how we came to measure time), speaking personally, I actually like analogue watches, and elegant timepieces on my wrist.

I guess it depends on one's life and business. I own a company that works in TV production, so I decided to try a Pebble, and having a device that discreetly screens calls, texts, emails and notifications has been a godsend for me, since I'm essentially always working.

I also like mechanical watches, but I haven't touched them since I started wearing this silly Pebble, and I recently sold a Rolex and some others, because I just can't see wearing them much anymore.

We have to remember that there was a time when gentlemen carried only pocket watches, and, eventually, someone strapped a pocket watch to the wrist for convenience, which led to the development and refinement of the very popular wrist watch. I see my Pebble as a so-so stopgap that works until better developments arrive, but it's hard to argue against the convenience of having smart phone info attached to the wrist.

Hopefully the iWatch will be such a development, but we'll see how it looks and operates.

I would absolutely wear one, but ONLY if it was a replacement for my phone. If it's simply a bluetooth-enabled watch, I'd pass, since it doesn't really offer anything I don't already have.

If I wore an iWatch, i'd have to stop wearing my regular time pieces.

... Perhaps I should shift to pocket watches, Ive always wanted one ... or maybe Apple could also put a nano clip on it so I don't have to!

I'm looking into health monitoring devices that read heart rate, activity tracking and things like that. If iwatch has this functionality then I would think about it.
I think it's great apple are working so hard on increasing the battery life. That can only benefit them in the future as it is massively important to the quality of their mobile products.
