Oh, you see the latches here...

Is it me or is this banner not taut? It's wrinkled at the bottom right corner, and it's kind of curving outward toward the right at the top. Now I have never been to any one of these Apple shows so I have never seen what these large scale images look like up close, but something doesn't seem quite right with the banner. It almost looks temporary. Again, I can't be sure. Maybe it's nothing...

I really don't think that the ipod nano is playing a video. The image on its screen is square, and just looks like an album cover, you know, when you hit the center button twice.

I don't either. I've blown up one of the pictures and there is clearly no latches.
Yes there are. Look at the top of the screen bevel and below the trackpad. There are notches that match up.

Face it, there's nothing new on the banner. (Except for the Leopard disk.) Period.

I noticed that too, while looking at my MBP in front of me.

Exactly...Apple knows that banner is visible from the street and wouldn't spoil any surprise from Steve's keynote. WWDC is a HUGE event for Apple and they wouldn't be stupid enough to mess it up by pre-emptively displaying a banner with all of their new products on it. The only reason the leopard disc is on it is because it was already announced by Apple as being part of WWDC. People need to stop "investigating" every in and out on the banner and just wait for WWDC.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but, what if it's not a banner at all? What if it's some other cool thing that Apple has come up with?

The Chinese instructions "This Way" make no sense to me. Even assuming a Chinese company were installing it (unlikely), why would you need a sign to say which way is up? The pictures clearly have a right way up.

When Steve shows us that it's not a banner, not a sign, not a backdrop... remember you heard it here first.

I can already hear the whines. "Apple PROMISED a banner! That's it, I'm getting a Dell!"

Is it just me or does it not look complete?

Where is the rest of the MBP?

It looks like they still needed to put up a few more pannels. That might be where the [regular] iPod is hiding and explain the wrinkle in the corner too.

Whoa people, there is something we have all overlooked here that could be very significant.

Just where do those cords near the bike lead to?

My theory is that at the end of the chords lies all the products we are all craving, like gold at the end of a rainbow. Feel free to correct me if someone knows otherwise.

I agree... it looks to me that those white "walls" they have set up are there to cover all of the awesome hardware we're looking forward to. At the end of these events they always have a huge room with the walls lined with tables that have computers on them for people to check out.

I wonder what kind of security they have around there to stop people from poking around.... ;)

Did no one notice the Apple logos on the wooden crates? Now you're probably saying "don't be an idiot, Apple wouldn't sell wooden crates" and you're right! However, I got reliable information from an insider at Apple that those are early prototypes of the upcoming Apple iDied coffin.

Posting it in here, because I really don't want to start a thread for it: whatever happened to the new $800 education iMac? I could've sworn I saw it on the Apple website, and then I never saw it again.

They offered it to students for several days. I guess Apple heard of all the people who posed as students trying to get that particular model, and so now it is only sold to institutions. (Not individual students.)

It's a shame, cause I was gonna get one in addition to my Macbook, and now I'm not getting a second Mac at all. Well, atleast for now.

The nano is displaying album art from Keane's "Under the Iron Sea";)

Damn. Do you know if it's available to students through the institution, or bulk orders only? That might be something worth investigating.
