The bike is a bit strange. Did someone ride their bike there to work on set-up? Wouldn't you park outside?

 It's a new Intel iBike, now with Wheel Duo!

(You're right though, it is odd it's just dumped there.)

Only on an Apple forum would there be pages upon pages of theories and opinions based on a single leaked photo of a banner (which, in all likelihood, is probably a very trivial part of this event)...!

Yeah, this banner is the background art for the registration booths. I guarantee it reveals absolutely nothing about upcoming products.

(Now those other two covered banners in the photo... :D )

especially as the only 'new' item is the leopard DVD

So has anyone thought that the new Leopard DVD design might allude to a new "Aperture/Pro Apps UI" look for OS X?

If someone has, sorry, I skimmed quickly. :)

Death to brushed metal!

The site went down (for me at least). Was anyone able to cache the page (or nab the images) before it went down?

Edit: It's back. Nevermind.

Found this on Digg. It's the banner rotated as if you were looking at it head on.

The 64bit icon probably signifys Leopard's move to/support of 64bit does it not?

I can hope for a new iMac to arrive just in time for me to recieve it from my order... but all I read is mass dissapointment from past hopes of other users :)

edit - love the rotated banner :)

The bike is what intrigues me too. Can someone enhance that area? What I want to know is, does it LACK a KICKSTAND (which many users would consider mandatory) or is Apple simply not using the kickstand??

(Re the 64-bit icon, Apple has always used that with their 64-bit chips--which are nothing new. 64-bit development is certainly something they are working with developers on, but it doesn't tell us much either way about Leopard. It's a good guess that 64-bit support will be expanded further with the new OS, though.)

64-bit icon has been used in the past.

Looks like a black macbook with what appears to be backlit keys. Same Power Mac case, new Leopard disc image (Black on black fur, very sexy), and 64-bit icon....

FIXED: THis thing is geting dugg beyond belief right now I'm sure.

EDIT: LARGER ORIGINAL NOW POSTED

some other things... the core duo logo looks like it might say Core 2 Duo, and there is two ipods shown (finally programming for ipod? this banner is about development, and it shows an ipod...)

I don't know how likely that is, but that would be one standing ovation during the keynote, right there!

Wow, are your eyes really that good? or are you just way in over your head like the majority of the posters in this thread.

Why aren't we on Page 1 yet?

Probably because the banner contains absolutely no new product information. Yes, it is a WWDC 2006 banner, and yes, it contains a graphic of the new Leopard DVD. The banner does not, however, contain any other new information.

Of course, the covered banners in the photo do indicate that something new is coming, so I suppose that's newsworthy. ;)
