Nope. I’ll plan to get the next phone again. Why would I behaved in an sort of surprised manner that Apple is going to continue making changes and developing new phones. I just make sure I get them on launch day so I get to use them for as many days before the next one comes out. I would be surprised if Apple didn’t make changes next year.

I wouldn't feel hosed at all (although i DID return my X), but Id really prefer a slightly WIDER size, not simply taller with the same width. The size of the X is nice, but the shape isn't not preferable for me from a content consumption standpoint.
Yes. This. The width. I really Liked the small size of my 5 and 5s just fine but both were simply too narrow.
Been on the 7 for a year now, it was A real nice upgrade coming from the 5s , and feels just the right length and just about perfect , but again too narrow!

I don’t need or want to upgrade this year or next, but would’ve in a heartbeat if either the 8 or X were a tad wider.

Evidently you don't follow (Or read the link provided) OLED manufacturing and yield constraints from the two manufacturers who produce for smartphones . Because if you did, you would not be asking for proof. I will just accept your response as such.

The only reason why I would upgrade is if they made faceID respond faster in next year's X due to better hardware. I am hoping it will be a software upgrade applicable to the current X so I won't need to upgrade, but knowing Apple there's only a very slim chance of this happening.

I wouldn't go to the X plus due to its size (came from a 7+)

Of course not. There’s at least one new iPhone every year. It’s what we want and expect. It gives us a reason to get a new phone every year

No, not at all. I usually prefer the smaller size, so when it came time to upgrade my 6s, and the X had the larger screen in just about the same form factor, that was a win. I'm still not sold on the big push to make phones even bigger.

Before I bought the X I had a 6S +. I was not a fan of the large size (small hands) as it wasn't the easiest to handle without using both hands. The only reason I got it was so I could see the screen better (old age). I really like the size of the X and will, most likely, not go any larger in the future.

The primary reason I bought an iPhone X is because I want dual camera but I don't want a Plus-sized iPhone, so an X-Plus announcement will not surprise me or tempt me.

Will there be a new X-sized iPhone as well? Possibly. Will the new models have slightly upgraded specs, a new cool feature, or a refined feature like a smaller notch? Probably. Will it make me regret getting the original iPhone X? No, but I suppose it might make me upgrade, although that is unlikely. It all depends on how much the new or improved features mean to me, and one year usually doesn't make a huge difference for my needs. I'm waiting for the forward facing dot projector that can scan and identify an object in front of me and immediately give me information like the dimensions, make, model, specifications, instruction manual, and the option to order the object or compatible parts/refills. I figure we are two years away from that.

I still don’t feel I’ll be hosed

I don’t think I’ll care if they stop selling x when X2 comes out either

As long as it’s properly supported and given loving care. Otherwise that’ll hose customers relationship with Apple a slow more useless buggier phone after 12 months that’s 1000+

This could be a real concern if the X user base is pretty small

I will not want this to be an expensive fashionable door stop and let that settle well with me

How can you feel "hosed" by what you chose? You knew what you were getting, and got exactly what you paid for... now you're worried about what Apple might (ok, probably) will do next fall? It's called progress. It happens all the time with every product. Remember how cool the 2.5" hard cased floppy disks were, compared to the 8" and later 5.25" disks? You're welcome.

After coming from a 6s Plus, I can't get see myself going back to the width of the Plus model and lack of gestures to go home and other things.

As someone else alluded to, when you purchase an iPhone, you already know what you're purchasing. And also to add, you have a two week return. 14 days is more than enough time to know if you like an iPhone based on its construction, iOS experience, new features, etc. Most keep their iPhones as it is, there are those who are upset because they don't like a feature or the notch. For some, it's Usually just baseless arguments To be disgruntled about Apple at something.

I love the iPhone X.

Hands down best iPhone I’ve owned to date, though I’m surprised the iPhone 5 screen comparisons aren’t made more often.

Any fan of the iPhone for sometime will remember when the iPhone 5 debuted and Apple arguably dropped the ball regarding simply stretching the screen on the 5, rather than making the screen ‘bigger.’

I’d make the same comparison to the iPhone X. Although the screen is certainly longer and on paper is the largest screen iPhone to date; because Apple decided to stretch the length rather than increase the width, the phone’s screen appears noticeably smaller coming from the iPhone 6 Plus I’ve had the past 3 years.

Landscape helps improve the illusion a bit that the screen is bigger, but the width still makes the current plus models the iPhone to get for users who love big screen phones.

Should Apple release a X Plus model I’ll be buying, and as amazing as the iPhone X is, I’d recommend anyone who’s on the fence and concerned about the screen size to hold off a few months before investing the money in their next iPhone.
