Wow, that looks great! I was sold as soon as I saw the space shuttle... but, having the B2 and some experimental planes is pretty sweet too...! Actually, it's a great diverse mix of planes, old and new.
The system requirements are 2 ghz an 3 ghz is best. I have a 1.7ghz core i5 MacBook Air. Would that hold up to run x-plane?
EDIT: What about the graphics card and the ram? I got 4gb of ram (obviously) and an Intel HD Graphics 3000 384mb.
There's no harm in downloading the demo and seeing how it runs. I find the Intel 3000 graphics are better than a lot of people give them credit for. Yes, your system is a little on the low side of the required specification so I don't think you should hope for too much. But, I suspect if you lower the graphics settings a nudge or two you'll be fine. The system requirements are 2 ghz an 3 ghz is best. I have a 1.7ghz core i5 MacBook Air. So I got the demo, the first automatic launch was very laggy. Launched it a second time and it was a little better and I lowered the textures to low. I have troubles taking off >.<. I dragged the throttle but that wasn't very efficient. The F1 and F2 to the throttle adjusts the brightness of my display. How can I take off?? I don't want to know the fancy controls such as confirming with ATC, setting my route, etc.
I am looking to buy flight controls for a friend, and know nothing about this stuff. He is a pilot in real life, and would love the most realistic feel possible.
Who has? And where can I find yoke, throttle, pedals, etc... for a Mac?
I will also be buying him a program, and from what I've read X10 is the way to go. FOllowed closely by FlightSimulator (i think that was it at least).
For a PILOT, which would you recommend?
Again, I need advice on where to find the controls too.
Please answer both questions.
Thanks.

Game looks awesome. Just bought a copy. I do have a stupid question though. I have no idea about flying but always wanted to learn and this looks like a great tool for that. Any suggestions on how to start learning flight simulators?
Thanks
Still have FSX, want something fresh. I heard all about this excellent flight simulator. From reading the reviews and seeing some videos this looks like the most realistic flight simulator I have ever seen. But do you have to buy online, or can you purchase it at a store?
10.10b1 due out soon, with a new oil rig platform
X-Plane Runs Out of Virtual Memory
Because X-Plane is a 32-bit application, it can only use a certain amount of memory. That limit varies by operating system:
Windows 32-bit: 3 GB.
Windows 64-bit: 4 GB.
Mac OS X: 3.5 GB.
Linux: 3 GB.
X-Plane 10.10 beta X memory issues are getting huge for me now...
Have turned down the grfx settings quite a lot, and halved the AI aircraft.
Still... take a look:
I wonder why I've never gotten that error.. I have the graphics settings really high and have the maximum number of AI aircraft.
