There's a flex tweak for the ipad version of sky sports app where u can watch all the sports channels. Really frustrating that we can't use Sky Go. Pay enough for the service!!

Well it's not them that requires it. It's the content providers, mainly sports and movie providers. They're just protecting their content. It's no different than copy protection used for VHS or DVD. They want to protect their assets and a jailbreak lessens their ability to control how the video is used (ie you can get jailbreak tweaks that override the output controls then rebroadcast it, or tweaks that spoof the location that allows you to view the content when you're contractually not allowed).

Like it or not, you're not entitled to the content on a jailbroken device just because you pay for it. You pay for it in agreement with their terms and conditions.

Sorry Mr Murdoch

I own a baseball bat. It's my bat and I paid for it so I should be able to smash people with it.

Lol. I don't actually disagree with what you say. I chose to jb so I sacrificed sky go to do so. Only app I had to lose and I'm quite willing to do so to get the huge benefits of jb tweaks.......and yes, you should be allowed to smash people with it

got a notice today from employer that i must upgrade to iOS 7 in order to continue receiving emails (via MI). so - sadly, after being on a JB phone since the beginning of JB time, i'm forced out :( hopefully xcon eventually supports MI (and other apps) and hopefully another JB is released so that i and others can rejoin the fun!

What's MI?

I am in a similar situation with the GOOD app. I temporarily added my GOOD enterprise email account to my iPad which isn't jailbroken. but eventually I have to add it back on my iPhone and lose my jailbreak unless xcon or something else comes through. *fingers crossed*

Search before you ask. Manual deb install is posted about 10000000 times

I did search and your post is pointless. Replace those words telling me that with the answer... I don't understand why people post search when it's obvious. Eventually I did find it so thanks for telling me something I already knew.

Because it gets tedious posting the same reply over and over. Clearly you didn't search because Google brought up many many results quickly.

Now you're wasting more of your life with a reply. I said I found it. But thanks for saying the obvious once again.

I believe you will find most of the regulars here will agree with the advice you were given. After all, suggesting the use of Google was the "obvious" response as you yourself acknowledge.

We came here as amateurs but have taught ourselves much - often times with the assistance of Google (I know I have).

And examples where posters should have resorted to using Google are rampantly abundant here, which is the reason many of us resort to that reply.

Here is another prime example - https://forums.macrumors.com/posts/18761710/

The newest xCon (from GitHub) still works for the just updated DirecTV app for iPad version 2.4.5 :)

Was happy to see this today. I've been using dtvrunner on my 5s and just today finally jailbroke my iPad for the first time in years. Link to deb file and install works like a charm!

I have the 37b7 installed (manually) since it's the only one that works with TiVo.

Cydia always shows the red 1 update badge by the icon because it sees there's a newer version of xcon available. Anyone know a way to hide this? No, turning off badges in notification center isn't an option because cydia isn't listed.

Package updates can be hidden easily.

1. In Cydia, select XCon
2. Change Package Settings -> Ignore Updates = On

Badge should disappear.

Wow I've asked this question numerous times in several forums and nobody's pointed this capability out. A huge THANK YOU! :)

Uh Oh...New version of Directv App out (3.3.009)

Going to see when/if it will be safe to update to version 3.3.009 of the iPhone app that came out today. Hopefully someone can test it for us!
