Doesn't look like there is much difference due to the saturation of the photo, but the one on the right appears more uniform (especially around the edges of the screen) and cooler white point.

Didn't the iPhone 11 Pro/Max have similar issues with green tint? How long did it take Apple to fix that issue? I'm really not interested to wait like 6 months for a software fix/exchange, which is uncertain in itself.

The difference between warm white and piss yellow is subjective. Anyone have a picture of an accurate depiction of a screen that's piss yellow?

I posted this before a few pages back, but this is my 12PM next to my wife's 11 pro. Both phones have true tone off, reduce white balance off, night shift off, and brightness at 100%.... the picture doesn't really convey the yellow tint as much as it does in person... In the picture it just looks like the phone is not as bright, but trust me in person it looks really yellow..... I've had iPhones every year since the original iPhone and I've never had this issue before.. I am not one to cry wolf trust me, never had any serious issues with a phone after owning many.

Yeah that's bad. Did you swap it out?

I already posted some examples indicating that when I am next to a window with TT on the screen becomes really crisp and good. I noticed that it was not the case since a few days. I restarted my 12 PM and it is back again with a whiter crisper screen when under natural light. This can’t be anything else than a bug, no?
I think I read some of you noticed the same. Right?

I took some pictures of my iPhone X (left) and 12 PM (right). I'm still deciding to keep it or return it. The whites on the 12 PM is warmer or duller and less contrasty and greener than the X.

Edit: Same brightness, TT (off), NS (off), AB (off), Filters (off)

I have too. Since I hit it with a blue flashlight it seems to work better now.

Thanks for the feedback. Will send a note
To Tim asking him to provide a blue flashlights to all the soldiers on the production lines. A cheap and easy way to debug those crappy iPhone 12 🤣

These pics from the youtube video show the difference well when I look at it with TT off. It looks just like what I was seeing with my own eyes with the 11 PM I had.

I ordered a mini for my girlfriend for Christmas. The screen is white. Colours pop. And is better than my 12 pro max. I can’t do any more testing as it’s now wrapped up. But the whites are the same as my 6s and better than my 11pro max that I sold. Seems I got lucky. I was surprised how good it looked.

When did you order?

3 weeks ago from very uk. My dad also ordered a 12 and it was the same. Nice white screen. Haven’t tested the blacks on them though.

Conclusion :

you had already found.
the 2 phones are very very near in everything.
my F2LDN is just a little little less yellow.
If i could mesure it i would say maybe 2%.
So it's always warmer than other IPS or Oled X from previous generation.
this time i'm really sure that my phone have no problem.
Iphone 12 series have just more yellow tint this year.
If you just have this "issue" don't loose your time to try to get a better one.
You can be sure that at the moment all iphone 12 are like this.

The only solutions is a new IOS version with a white balance adjusted for all iphone 12.
But not sure Aplle will do it even if i would like to believe the support .....

Guys! Today on Costco I saw a Pro Max with a perfect display. SN starting with G6. Better than my iPhone X, just perfect and super bright. They exist!

Several people in this thread reported the G6 SN iPhones have good panels, I just wish there was a way to hand pick one and guarantee an iPhone from that factory...

at the carrier or a resell retailer you probably could ask the employee to grab one starting G6. it isn't unheard of.

I’m G6/Week 47 and my screen is perfect. White whites. No flickering, only blacks and no low brightness black video/images issues. Also no gaps. I posted a good bee pages back with a comparison. They do exist but just takes a few attempts - this was my 5th device.

if we admit this : G6 is perfect !!!
please post a G6 with an XR on the same photo
good luck if you want to run after a G6 model.

I think we should make a petition to apple to adjust the white !
Better chance than all of us get a G6
