Wow. I remember back in my college days , the packet of cigs had the verbiage " Richmond VA " on it. Forgot the brand now.
Anything Philip Morris had that stamp for a while. Probably the largest remaining city for manufacturing tobacco to this day. I had a contract job in the Marlboro factory one time - their employees smoke in their offices! It was like getting in a time machine. Altria/PM in a bit of trouble now though, desperately trying to invest all of that old money in the cannabis industry with mixed success.

Must have been Marlboro lights as I smoked them mainly. The white filters were the much sought after ones in Europe .as the regular ones were made in the EC under license.

Oh that's interesting! I saw your expat status on your profile. How'd you find your way to our never ending nightmare of a state that we call Florida? haha

Yellow tint on a 13 Pro here too. Color filter has it more of a pink blue now but it's uneven top to bottom of screen, and changes as I move the phone, but that might be due to poor sight lines on the panel. I seems to change.

Dreading having to take this back but it's also pretty murky.

My 6S screen looks crisp in comparison, but side to side, using a color chart of safari, the 13 screen somehow looks better.

Does what I'm describing sound like a problem screen (I'm really having trouble wading through the off topic chatter in this almost 300 page thread but really worried).

Definitely noticed quick off-axis shift this year. Are you coming from that 6S having been your most recent phone? OLED certainly has a different appearance to it that can take some getting used to.

Yes, I'm off a 6S, and that's all I have to compare.

Maybe they designed these for use Dark setting use? It fixes the shift, and disguises all these issues, cleans up the whites, and fuzzy text too.

Seems like we both have the same screen, also seeing the same thing with most of the panels on here, apple offered to send me a replacement, might keep mine, most likely end up with the same screen again, or worse.

my dark mode greys are spot on, nice and grey, not yellow like last year, done the grey test, no banding on my panel, very clean panel, apart from the warmer screen, red tint and also a tad murky like your panel.

First thing I noticed this year, these panels shift color like crazy with the slightest movement, unlike last year.

Hi,

I have a 13 Pro, too. When reading text on white or near white backgrounds, a kind of brightness shift from top to bottom becomes visible. This can also be seen in the video from page 296:

When I center my head directly over the iPhone it appears to be darker at the top. The freaky thing: When I rotate it by 180°, it's still darker at the top (which is the bottom of the iPhone now).

Do You expereince the same? Is it "normal" for OLEDs?

Normal oled behavior. The screens have a warm tone again this year, not as warm as last year though.

First batch maybe, but the replacements would be from the same batch. Pro Silver, 256 here.

I think I'll have to learn to like Dark mode.

Switching back and forth helped, but there's a shift between yellow, blue, pink, by how I tilt the screen. Pink in between, yellow straight on, and blue if there's any tilt.

What are those grey stripes in the second pic?

OK. But what strikes me is that I can't get a uniform white background when centering my head over the screen!? My phone seems to perform quite good at the unformity tests out there on YouTube, but reading text on white feels strange / wrong...

Unfortunately, these aren't TV's, people do use phones in the wild while walking. I can get used to the tint, all phones have some, but not a fluctuating tint that borders on strobing.
