Slight Yellow Tint - Screen Bleed (Newegg Ebay Dump)
Purchased a new Macbook Pro Ret 15 Inch during the Newegg Ebay sell off ($1699 no tax). Great deal but had a surprise with the screen.
Slight yellow tint in the bottom right and magenta on the left but overall a beautifully bright and very white screen. I was happy with that due to the price until I saw the screen on a black background while using full screen youtube.
Screen Bleed at the top left extending down vertically and horizontally approx 25%. I've attached two pics and the reality is between the two. One is at full brightness and the other is at half brightness.
Question for you, do you think it is worth the runaround to try to get a screen without the bleed or do you think based on the price I got it for I should just chalk it up to a good deal on a slightly defective screen?
I'm not sure why Newegg would dump new 15 inch stock at the refurb price other than possibly getting rid of screens they know to be defective? Who knows?
I've heard of people in the repair/exchange loop and I don't want to be one of them.
Thanks!
