From what I understand the beta's have to be the same in order for Handoff to work. So OS X Yosemite DP6 + iOS 8 DP6. The problem lies with the latter not being released yet.

Thanks a lot for the reply, but i had this issue even with Yosemite DP5 and IOS 8.0 Beta 5 , i don't know if the "location" in the preferences matter or not , as my country "Egypt" is not listed , and thus is use "United States" ?

Do a time machine backup if you haven't already, then boot into recovery mode and reinstall OS X. It will put the Public Beta back. Then, update to DP5 before going to DP6. It's still not foolproof, but it's more likely to succeed than skipping a version. The delta packages are designed to update the previous version only- not two or more versions behind.

my Yosemite works fine on my laptop(Acer V3-571g).
My problem is that Yosemite wakes up automatically roughly every 2 hours for 10 minutes and then goes back to sleep.
It sounds like the PowerNap feature, but I have not activated that (it doesn't show up in Energy Saver preferences anyway).
I try to add Darkwake=0 in org.chameleon.Boot.plist of Chameleon r2391,but it doesn't work,so i try to reset my BIOS,and turn off "Wake From Lan",but it doesn't work.
Today I updated the DP6,but seems that apple don't fix this problem.

Do you have any clues how I can deactivate those RTC Alarm wakes?

PS: Sleep works fine in Mavericks without any RTC Alarm wake ups

Yes you can. Just run this in terminal first before starting parallels:

sudo /Applications/Parallels\ Desktop.app/Contents/MacOS/Parallels\ Service.app/Contents/MacOS/prl_disp_service -e

KEEP TERMINAL OPEN

Several errors will appear in terminal as you are running parallels, just ignore them. When you shut down parallels, terminal will return to a prompt. You can then shut down terminal.

Does this have to be done each time? I was forced back to Mavericks yesterday when Parallels refused to start.

Is anyone having Finder issues?

I try to launch a Finder window and nothing happens.
If I right click New Finder Window - a blank window appears and I cannot see anything and all icon are greyed out.

Thanks!

I was having major Finder problems, but luckily I just redownloaded the Public DP and installed it. That seems to fix the issue.

I have the same issue , actually the BT seems to connect when Handoff related application starts , but no icons appears , tried restarting several times with no solution. Also i call and send messages , but i cannot receive calls :(

Hmm, don´t they usually tell us that you have to use THE LATEST Beta / DP(?), which actually is Yosemite DP 6 and iOS Beta 5.

however, for me Handoff has worked fine. Messages, Calls (not sure if every call / message is passed to my Mac though), Mail and Safari, but I as far as I know handoff will work with iWork as well?

So to clarify. You have hand off working properly with DP6 and IOS Beta 5?

I haven´t tested all scenarios, but I can call from my iPhone via my Mac.

About Continuity: Tested if iWork apps poped up on my Mac when using them on my iPhone (are they supposed to do that on with iPhone swell, or just the iPad?), Mail, Messages and safari poped up like they are supposed to do.

What exactly was your upgrade path. And what hardware are you running? So far it seems as if your the only person with continuity working with dp6 and iOS beta 5

I have updated OTA and via Mac App Store, every Single update. iPhone 5s and MacBook Pro Retina 13" 2014. But I have to say that I am not sure it works to 100%.

But what is it that doesn't work for you guys?

upgraded to the new Parallels 10.0 (with yosemite support)

works like a charm again

Funny how Parallels 9 worked with all previous builds, it breaks and there's a new version for me to pay for. Not a conspiracy theorist. I just think Parallels was ready with a new version.

So who exactly would be the victims of such conspiracy?

Only developers are supposed to have access to DP6 and they are therefore the only people who should have been able to see parallels desktop break in this way.

So are you suggesting that Parallels have concocted a conspiracy against developers?

The conspiracy theory is a bit ridiculous.

I guess I should have been more clear. I meant to say I don't think it's a conspiracy.

Parallels has done this with the last 2 or 3 10.x major OS X updates - a nice revenue stream for them - especially since Apple went to yearly OS updates.

I think the problem is in DP5 , as i reinstalled from DP2 to DP4 , and tested at every stage the phone receiving on Mac , and it worked fine , but once i install DP5 up till DP6 , no Phone call receiving on my Mac.

Also now Handoff is not working , the bluetooth seems to connect , but icons don't appear on both Mac and Iphone

Upgraded to Dp6, Adium isn't working at all. Anyone else having the same issue?

Update: So this was random. I was on Adium's website and tried to install a style directly and it launched Adium and allowed me to go into preferences and it worked. I'm online now. So if anyone's have an issue it's a stupid hack to get up and running. I was installing this http://www.adiumxtras.com/index.php?a=xtras&xtra_id=6638

PB1 to DP6 is really a bad idea.

I've seen - unfortunately too late - that there was an issue with the Finder - that blank window - after upgrading to DP6 from PB1. Any way to fix that ? Or just waiting for DP7 or GM ?
I've also noticed the highlighted .com domain in the address bar. But when it comes to a protected website (like Apple's website) it's not highlighted.
It seems so stupid but what if I'm installing DP5 over DP6 ? I don't think the Mac will notice something. :apple: Why not giving it a try ?
