I received it. The accessories are beautiful; no surprise there.

The surprise is just how long this keyboard is (first time I'm using a KB with an attached number pad).

It's going to take some time to get used to, for sure.

Years ago I had used the wired keyboard with numbers pad, and then when I went wireless of course had to get used to the smaller keyboard. I really missed the numbers pad, though. When finally Apple introduced the white Magic Keyboard with numbers pad, I jumped on it and was thrilled to have the numbers back again.....but, yep, it took me a little time to get adjusted to the longer length again!

I'm wondering how much Apple would have charged to backlight this thing. That is the only thing it's missing, in my opinion. Probably at least $200.00 (US) for backlighting.

I bet that black Magic Mouse 2 is a scratch fest.
Scratched by what, though? A vast majority of people will have it on their desk 99% of the time with the glass side facing upwards, there usually isn't much brushing over it that might scratch it.

Mine hasn't (noticeably, that I can see) scratched yet, but it is definitely a fingerprint magnet!!!

Thats I was thinking and then wiping the fingerprints off would then lead to the scratches.
But if it doesn't then fantastic.

See above. Also I don't think the multi-touch surface is glass on the Mouse.

Alright that's a possibility, I hope it doesn't scratch too easily by it. Although I suppose if one were to clean it with microfibre cloths or generally soft cloths, there shouldn't really be much risk of scratching?

And yeah in retrospect glass wasn't the correct term, I believe it's polycarbonate. Not sure if that speaks for or against the scratchiness of it.

I’ve had the mouse for a month, no scratches. Fingerprints, yes.

Probably the only way one could scratch the mouse would be if for some reason they rubbed something rough across the surface, which is unlikely, or possibly if the user has long fingernails. I tend to have short fingernails and I usually gently stroke the surface of the mouse with the fleshy part of my index finger, so no scratching there.

Yep, available right on the store online. But at a $20 markup from the regular white/silver models. Perhaps they saw how much they were going for on eBay and decided to capitalize?

Either way, I'm going to order a set... just can't decide on whether to get a mouse or a trackpad.
