I'm reading a lot about how iPhone X sales are not as analysts expected and have watched many a scathing YouTube video. I even have a lot of friends and colleagues who have opted against the iPhone X and a few who have bought it and then returned it.

I haven't bought the iPhone X because I haven't owned an iPhone since the 4S and it just doesn't do enough to pull me away from Android.

But I'm interested to know why it is that's stopped all the iPhone lovers from buying it. Why didn't you?

- Shock to the system of losing conventional ways of doing things.

- fictional understanding how expensive it is.

- not willing to deal with the hassle of first generation product

I would add from comments of others complaining from reading on Macrumors:

1.) Notch
2.) Price
3.) Obligatory "Doesn't do anything my current iPhone can't."
4.) No Touch ID

- Watching too many "I don't like the iPhone X" videos on YouTube, instead of having your own opinion.

- Buying an Expensive iPhone just for fun and knowing you can return it, and then making a big post about how you returned the iPhone X, in capital letters.

I actually have a X and love it, but I can give reasons I went into the Apple Store to buy the 8 Plus instead and walked out with the X

Price wasn't an issue for me, I didn't really see the $200 difference to be shocking or a deal breaker
I actually liked the smaller footprint and way it fit in the pocket
The notch wasn't an issue for me either, I didn't even notice it

My issue was with the lack of a home button and no Touch ID
I couldn't wrap my head around not having the button and using Face ID and gestures instead
However, that concern vanished after about half a day in using the X

Funny how before Touch ID these forums were full of people railing against the home button and wanting it gone
Then when Touch ID came they freaked when the home button was taken away and replaced with gestures and Face ID

Becoz it has a oled panel. My eyes cant stand oled. Plus its too expensive and my current contract runs another 2 years. Waiting for the iphone 12(?).

If it was less expensive would you have bought it even though your contract runs for another two years?

I hate the fact the X has the notch, Face ID and no home button.

Oh wait that’s so like 2 months ago.
Love the X.

Bought an 8...didn't fancy the beta model, notch, Gen 1 FaceId, size

Nothing Beta about the iPhone X, it's a great product. Better than the tired looking iPhone 8 in every possible way. I find FaceID is a perfect replacement for TouchID and more reliable. Lost count the amount of times TouchID would fail to recognise my print, especially when I was trying to pay for something.

Guess so. My eyes get really tired en watery. With the lcd it still get watery but not as much.

I have dry eye syndrome so I would welcome the watery eyes.

Thanks for sharing.

I wonder if that’s the reason an lcd model is rumored for later this year

I haven't owned every iPhone, I skipped the 3G, 3GS, 4, 6, 7, 8, and X.

I have owned the original, 4s, 5, 5s, SE, 6s Plus, and have recently "downgraded" to an SE due to not liking the size of the Plus model.

I don't mind the design of the X, but I cannot part with over $1K for a device that will most likely be broke in 2 years.

The iPhone 6s Plus was pretty pricey, and I regretted spending that much on it afterwards, I don't see what the X has that makes it worth that much to me.

I have been very happy using the SE, and even happier with the price.

Huh? Fictional?
