A few years ago, Apple switched all of its Mac from Nvidia to AMD. While this move is fine or even appreciated for some users, there are some of us who prefer Nvidia. While I'm not a big fan of the iMac and the Mac Mini due to the lack and/or difficulty of repairs and upgrades, I may be willing...
Hi!
I'm wondering if it's a good thing in term of internal heat to put two 980ti in Mac Pro case?
I read on this forum that 980ti seems to be very hot...
I'm considering 980ti with enhanced cooling system (ACX 2.0+), like this model: http://eu.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=06G-P4-4991-KR

Hi all,
So, I didn't see these problems in the first iteration of Sierra. But, the latest edition: 10.12.2 is giving me weird graphic glitches all over the place. See attachment.
Is there any way to downgrade to an earlier version of Sierra?
Also noticed that the NVideo CUDA panel in...

I am an engineer so I do consider myself a pro user and I need to run a lot of CAD software. the 750m is starting to slow down now. and I cant really render much of anything that is overly complicated. is the 460 that...
Disclaimer: Let me first start by saying that I totally understand that benchmarks do not translate to real world performance. Secondly I understand that CPU Performance for Intel has basically Plateaued as Intel has started to focus on efficiency rather then performance. Also, as a note, I was...

Can anyone help me find out or understand why Photoshop CC 2015.5 is showing some of the things it is regarding my GeForce GTX TITAN X? Couple of things that concern me or that I'm curious about:
1. glgpu[0].GLVersion="2.1" listed as OpenGL version 2.1. NVIDIA and EVGA specs show OpenGL 4.5 and...
Hi Everyone,
First time poster long time lurker :P
I'm currently running a flashed 2009 MacPro 4,1 (5,1) and was happily using El Capitan with a GTX 970 4GB and the Web Drivers. After upgrading to Sierra (and updating the Nvidia Web drivers) the card is no longer seen in the OS :(

I currently have a Dell XPS 15 with a 960m on it. Will Radeon's Pro 460 be an upgrade or downgrade?
I only do light video editing and some gaming that my current 960m handles just fine. I couldn't find much info about the Pro 460.
Thanks in advance!
The desktop Kaby Lake processors will be released later this year but AMD hasn't given any information regarding Polaris GPUs. Apple could:
Keep the same GPU options.
Use the re-branded 300 series GPUs (however there are only 3).
Use Nvidia.
Announce it and release it later this year/next...
Hey,
So I have a predicament. I decided to update my 5,1 from El Cap .6 to Sierra. Went through the usual process of popping my EFI card (an NVIDIA GT120) so I can see the load screen etc. Installing went fine. Installed the current web driver and then switched back over to my two screens out...
I am fairly competent with computers, but I've run into a problem that has me completely stumped. I have an Nvidia Quadro K1200 graphics card in my Mac Pro tower. I have used the Nvidia drivers with no problems, up until a few weeks ago, when Apple released the security update for OS X 10.11...
I installed a flashed NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 in my Mac Pro 2009 (flashed to 5,1) to power my 4K display. I have the most up to date NVIDIA Web Driver available for OS 10.11.3 (web driver is 346.03.05f02). The card works fine except Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign (all the latest versions)...
Hello All,
I have updated my 4,1 Mac Pro (Firmware flashed to 5,1) to the latest Sierra build (Gold Master). I am running a GTX 760 via HDMI to my 21:9 monitor. Originally when I had El Capitan I wasn't using the nVidia web driver due to the fact it would not let me display in 21:9. I was using...
Im using Handbrake to convert a .MOV file to x264. Every time, it crashed my mac pro, & when I read the logs, it seems like it it could be the video card since it shows Nvidia as the cause for the kernel panic.

I am currently rendering the...
