Mine worked ( took a while, so be patient ).
However while it accepts my SIM card now, it won't join the O2 network with my simplicity SIM in it :(

Any ideas if I've missed a step? (the SIM works in another phone)

i'm in the same situation as you, what i mean to say is, I've got a simplicity sim card too, i'm on 1.1.2 firmware ..

so, how can we be sure that this jailbreak would activate the phones for us ? since I never started a contract on this UK iPhone. I just jailbreaked it, which activated it, and i just put in a O2 simplicity pay monthly sim. and everything just worked.

any help is appreciated. cheers.

If you read Nate's site, it says it only works with a 1.1.1 OR a 1.1.2. Not 1.1.3. I believe there might be a way to downgrade it to 1.1.1 or 1.1.2, but not quite sure.

then this is jailbreak for 1.1.3 how?

Ok. Let me see if I can make this clear. This is a jailbrake method to GET your 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 phone UP TO 1.1.3 AND still be able to use 3rd party apps. Not to jailbrake a 1.1.3 phone straight off. It won't work on a 1.1.3 straight out of the box or one that been upgraded to 1.1.3. If you have a 1.1.3 phone (and if you do, this would mean that you were not able to add 3rd party apps) there is a method to "downgrade" your phone to 1.1.2. After you do this, THEN you can do this 1.1.3 jailbrake method.

The basic jist of it is this: To "jailbrake" an iPhone (at least in the last few methods) is to start off with a previous firmware version, install a 3rd party hack to "prepare" you phone, then do an upgrade to the latest Apple firmware following the specific instructions. Therefore, you are "upgrading" your iPhone to 1.1.3, but also being able to install 3rd party apps.

Hope this was clear.

Allready have firmware 1.1.3. Does this mean I can't jailbreak. Someone please tell me what to do I would appreciate it.

Before I go uninstall and reinstall all my 3rd party apps to get them to show up after the 1.1.3 jailbreak is there any other way? Like others have said, they are there, just don't show up. Can I use iFuntastic and move something around?

Can't get Summerboard to uninstall and reinstall.

A bigger problem is I can't get Open SSH to show up after install which limits my ability to connect with Win SCP.

UPDATE Synced iPod to iTunes and now have SSH working

Trying it right now, previously 1.1.2 jailbroken phone unlocked with anySIM 1.2.1u. Installing the 1.1.3 soft upgrade thing, we'll see how it goes...

Anyone in Canada get this working with rogers? I'd like to update, but havent seen anyone post "It works and I an use anysim"

Yes. I am in Vancouver and using Rogers. Upgrade to 1.1.3 works with this method. But the locate me feature does not work for me. It spins forever. Other features are OK.

It looks like the mac version is out. Also, apparently Nate True has been kicked off of the dev team for releasing this jailbreak method (it might be illegal), so proceed with caution. iBrickr is still telling me that my jailbroken 1.1.1 iPhone isn't jailbroken, so I can't do it anyway. Plus, if you do this method, you cannot use the location feature on maps, unless you upgraded to 1.1.3 to get the new baseband, then downgraded to 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 and jailbreak.

I did everything right up to going into installer and installed the soft update. Went to the kitchen for less than 15 seconds and came back... it had restarted and now its on the "connect to itunes" icon.. itunes also said this iphone had to be restored. Still sitting there for a few min

Is this suppose to happen? Am I suppose to wait at this screen? Or disconnect it?

does the locate me feature work for anyone with a jailbroke 1.1.3? I am on at&t and just using jb for 3rd party apps. It just spins forever, with or without wifi turned on (iPhone)

if have succusful upgraded to 1.1.3 jailbroken and my apps are still installed but cannot be seen on the home screen how do i get them to appear on the home screen
Thanks
TC

Im having the same issue

Would this upgrade to 1.1.3 potentially break all the other 3rd party apps. From what I remember reading, they apps are stored in a different folder. I havent read all of the replies so if this has already been answered I am sorry, just I have a 1.1.2 hacked phone and dont want to lose any of it.

I'm about to downgrade my 1.1.3 and was wondering if anyone has done this yet to jailbreak 1.1.3? What I'm wondering is if we have to downgrade the baseband that 1.1.3 installs? Looks like it would save a lot of time if I didn't have to do this step.

got it installed as well had no problem everything went so smooth :) cant wait for the new apps lol
