too bad it's only for windows ATM :(

I'm personally going to wait a few days to hear wether stealthsim works with 1.1.3 (should, as its the same baseband)... However, im guessing they're goign to update again next month for the sdk and then end up tossing in a new baseband.. sigh :p

here's hoping os x tools will be out shortly and some tests in to hear if it works or not w piggybacking

EDIT: someone has posted that stealthsim works on a legitimitly activated 1.1.3 on the hackint0sh forum.. however, still goign to wait for numerous reports on jailbroken phones.. *crosses fingers*
Yep I will wait also a few weeks to make sure the Stealth SIM will work with 1.1.3

So after I installed the jb 1.1.3 I found out that the Maps locate me feature does not work because this method did not install a new baseband or something like that. Does anyone know if this can be fixed or do we just live with not having the locate feature even though it was one (of the only three) reasons I wanted to upgrade. Not an unlocked iPhone, I have AT&T. Do I restore to 1.1.3 original, then downgrade to 1.1.2 (with 1.1.3 baseband), then jailbreak again?

Does anyone know where the 3rd party apps belong so they will show up? Something that can be moved?

Thanks,
James

Someone needs to port the 1.1.3 iPhone apps to work on the iPod so that we can avoid the $20 payment.

Will you check the baseband version (modem firmware)

This jailbreak method does not upgrade the baseband it seems, so for me it's the same as 1.1.2's.

Unfortunately that leads to a side effect: I can't change my EDGE settings, so no internet out at Disneyland tomorrow it seems :(

I'M STILL ON 1.0.2. There were no pressing reasons to upgrade...

 ,,,how is everyone's experience with the google app finding your location(I'm in a suburb of dallas). If it works I'll upgrade to 1.1.1 and then 1.1.3 but otherwise its not worth having to redo all my mods =)

THANKS!

You should have upgraded to 1.1.1 a while ago, but as far as 1.1.3 goes I say wait. From what I've heard, most apps don't even work with 1.1.3. I updated to 1.1.3 from a jailbroken 1.1.1 and I immediately regretted it. First of all, you can no longer downgrade firmware versions, and the maps "locate me" function has proved useless to me. I live in a suburb of San Francisco, and it is consistently giving me a 2-3 mile radius (contrary to the suggested 1-2 block radius). Besides, the ability to move around your icons has been available through the customize app forever, so there's no need to update.

So, this may sound dumb, but the 1.1.2 apps will not work on a 1.1.3 jailbreak, correct? Just wondering, as I dont want to give those up.

OK I did the jailbreak then upgrade to 1.1.3 & all appeared to be well until I went to the final step. Through installer I then tried to install "1.1.3 soft upgrade". The package downloads then gives me the following message.
" ERROR This package requires firmware 1.1.[2]."

Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks in advance....

I did this about 5 minutes after it got released earlier today and I've now got a clearly working/jailbroken/software unlocked 1.1.3 iPhone. It's a nice feeling :)

Did the Jailbreak fine, did not do the 1.1.3 upgrade from iTunes, downgrade, then Jailbreak to 1.1.3, Just went from Jailbreak 1.1.2 to 1.1.3. Google maps locater doesn't work, fine. Cannot turn EDGE off with Services App or iToggle. Any workarounds? Is this b/c I didn't upgrade the baseband?

Edge still works guys, the icon just doesnt show up.

In Settings>General>Network>EDGE I can't change any of the fields. When you change a field, the thing crashes back to the home screen with no change in settings. Since I'm on T-Mobile, the APN needs to be wap.voicestream.com (BB data plan), but I can't change it, so no EDGE for me.

Sadly, the downgrade steps seem quite convoluted and I need to wake up at 5:30 AM, so I'll live with it for now. :(
