Wow, nice little change. Here's a short screen recording. With Safari's new speed it goes by quickly.

You could do this in DP1, tooBtw, in TextEdit, you can select the title bar, press Rename, and type the new file name right there without having to go into the Finder to Save As!!! Finally!!!
You can also Move to iCloud if the file isn't in iCloud, or move to the Finder in a place of your choice.
Renaming the file though is something I have been waiting for! Would still be nice to be able to double click the name to rename it, but that might conflict with other behavior.
+1
I've just installed DP2, and I'm not seeing this for some reason.

One thing I noticed is that it appears that Launchpad no longer spans the entire width of my display. I don't have a trackpad or gestures enabled to toy with the spacing, so it seems the default arrangement may have changed.

Sorry, but that doesn't help anyone who wants 'save as' back. All that does is literally rename the file. It doesn't create another file with a different name like 'save as' does.Btw, in TextEdit, you can select the title bar, press Rename, and type the new file name right there without having to go into the Finder to Save As!!! This is a big one for me, since I am so into the "Computer Audiophile" scene -- You can now delete music from within iTunes playlists (!)
Previously you would have to go click "Music" under "Library" and then search for the song(s) you want to delete. Doing it within playlists makes life just *that* much easier
What do you mean? This sounds like an iTunes feature, and it has already been there, if you hold down the Alt-key when removing songs from a playlist. How does it work now?
There is a difference between removing a song from a Playlist, and removing it from your Library. Unless I am mistaken, you were not able to delete media from the Library (from the playlist which contains said media) before DP2.

I frequently try out various masters of the same album, just to see which sounds better/has a better DR. So I end up deleting a lot of music...

It certainly works on Lion (via the option key) were you talking about Mountain Lion only?
iCloud tabs work, if you want to see it work you need to computers with lion installed, or two partitions.
Lion? Mountain Lion?
Could you give us 101 with screenshots if possible?

can someone tell me if i can change the safari tabs back to what they looked like pre 5.2? i don't prefer two tabs taking up the whole bar, thanks!
Another new feature in DP2 found by 9to5Mac appears to be that the new Reminders app now supports geo-fencing like its iPhone / iPad counterpart, meaning you can trigger notifications based on what network your Mac is connected to.
I did some testing. Turns out that if you have a smaller resolution, the Messages app fills the entire screen to give you as much real estate as possible. At 1280x800, your display is small enough that it'll fill the entire width. My iMac has a 2560x1440 display, and shows empty spaces near the edges when using my max resolution and fullscreen mode.

I love that they disabled by default the checkbox to relaunch opened applications on restart.
